is four weeks away, and we are thrilled to attend for the 5th year in a row. We will be hosting an incredible session to kick-off the week focused on Advancing Black Breast Cancer Science Globally.

We are still in a state of crisis for Black women with breast cancer, their families and their caregivers. Black women are more likely than white women to die of breast cancer at any age across any sub-type. Black women have the lowest 5-year relative breast cancer survival rate compared to all other racial/ethnic groups for every stage of diagnosis and every breast cancer subtype.

If you look at Black and white TNBC cells under a microscope, you’ll see a totally different picture. Let's challenge ourselves, our scientists, our health care providers, and our insurance companies to do things differently. Let's move from building on the past to DISRUPT every part of our breast cancer ecosystem.

Actor Yan-Kay Crystal Lowe was worried a breast cancer diagnosis would mean for her future. "I was terrified. What if I never work again? What if they forget me? But nothing could be further from the truth. Hollywood often gets a bad rap, but when you work with people who love you, they show up. My producers...have moved mountains so that I could continue to direct my movie."
