Please join us in prayer for Mike's loved ones, the entire Pine Point community and the countless lives he touched — every one of us at "H41N" (as Mike always referred to us!) among them. ❤

The Pine Point Community Council shares with heavy hearts the passing of Mike Swan — our spiritual leader, mentor to many, a cherished friend, grandfather, uncle, brother, community leader, relative to so many and much more.
Mike walked gently and with great purpose. He shared his teachings, prayers, humor, laughter (his was the best) and love without hesitation, always wanting the best for everyone. So many were comforted, guided, and strengthened by his presence; he touched countless lives. He carried our traditions with respect and reminded us how to live in a good way. Many of us will carry his words, his laughter, and his teachings in our hearts.
We honor the beautiful life he lived and the kindness he gave so freely. Though we feel this loss deeply, his spirit and teachings remain with us and will continue to guide our community.
Mike will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and forever honored.

Miigwech, Mike. You will always be remembered and carried in our hearts. PPCC

Mike, words cannot express how much your friendship means to us. Thank you for all the ways you have poured into us, the values you have passed on to us and the wonderful times we've had sharing laughs and serving the community we all love together. We love you.

Caitlin and Jeremiah had a blast at the Community Christmas Party in Pine Point!

They met Santa, arranged gifts for Elders and helped serve the meal. Jeremiah was even invited to say the blessing — an honor usually held by our friend and Santa’s #1 elf, Mike Swan, who wasn’t able to be present.

It was a fantastic day of Christmas cheer and community generosity. Now to stock up on blankets and stuffed animals so we can do it all again next year!
