I don’t know if anyone else feels like this, but being in front of the camera really gives me the “ick”😩 It literally takes me forever to get comfortable. But, I’ve reconciled with the fact that this is the process…so I guess I have to do it🫡✨

Chicago stories deserve more than one narrative.

We’re creating more stories that show the Chicago we know, not just the Chicago people think they know.

Now we’re inviting a few Chicago small businesses and business owners to sponsor those stories and connect their businesses to the work.

The first round is limited to 5 to 6 sponsors, with opportunities starting at $250.

We’re closing this round September 25.

Career Day at Heritage Middle School, but we did it differently✨

I came in to talk about entrepreneurship and my role as a Founder of a Nonprofit…but instead of starting with “what does it take to do what I do?” We started with who they already were & what they already have…✨

Students explored their:
• Gifts of the heart (what they care about)
• Gifts of the hands (what they create)
• Gifts of the head (how they think)

Then I connected it all back to what it takes to do the work that I do every day with ✨

What we do know is once they can see themselves in it…realize they already have so much of what it takes inside of them…AND be able to name and articulate those GIFTS…🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

Removing all language barriers 🤝😉✨

Who said our kids don’t like reading, writing, and public speaking? 😉 They can do ALL things✨

Hello!! Here is some behind the scenes footage of Story Scouts yesterday where we were able to have the opportunity to talk to some of the seniors in small discussion groups! It was definitely a great time with some important conversations being had!!
