Career Day at Heritage Middle School, but we did it differently✨

I came in to talk about entrepreneurship and my role as a Founder of a Nonprofit…but instead of starting with “what does it take to do what I do?” We started with who they already were & what they already have…✨

Students explored their:
• Gifts of the heart (what they care about)
• Gifts of the hands (what they create)
• Gifts of the head (how they think)

Then I connected it all back to what it takes to do the work that I do every day with ✨

What we do know is once they can see themselves in it…realize they already have so much of what it takes inside of them…AND be able to name and articulate those GIFTS…🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

Removing all language barriers 🤝😉✨

Who said our kids don’t like reading, writing, and public speaking? 😉 They can do ALL things✨

Good afternoon amazing people!! On Wednesday we were having some conversations with the high school students about what they are passionate about and how some of them feel they have lost some of this passion as time has gone on.

Our topic for discussion this Sunday is: Why do you think students are becoming less passionate about the activities that they’re in? Is there anything that we can be doing to help them find that motivation again?

Good afternoon beautiful people! Every Sunday we’re gonna do a discussion post. We would love for you all the think about and share your thoughts on the topic.

Okay so for this week, as we spent time with students. We talked a lot about the Political Issues going on specifically in Chicago and how this affects them as students in day to day life.
