You have kids. You have cancer. No one prepared either of you for this.๐Ÿ’š

The good news? We know what works. Research shows that kids whose parents have cancer benefit most from three things: honest, age-appropriate information about cancer, coping skills, and peer-to-peer support.

This week, we celebrated an incredible group of graduating Pickles Peer Leaders. Maddie, Finn, Francesca, and Grace have helped shape the heart of Pickles through their compassion, leadership, and support for other kids facing a parent's cancer.๐Ÿ’š

Their thoughtful speeches reminded us of the power of connection, community, and showing up for one another.

This moment was especially meaningful because they are the first four Peer Leaders to graduate from high school since Pickles Group launched.

We are so proud of all theyโ€™ve accomplished and cannot wait to see what comes next for each of them.

Congratulations, graduates!

Pickles Group is connecting with partners, donors, and families all summer long โ€”we're going to be at the ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) Annual Meeting in Chicago from Saturday, May 30 to Monday, June 1.

๏ปฟStop by booth #14037 to say hi to our team and learn more about how we're supporting kids and teens navigating a parent's cancer diagnosis. And we hope you'll say hi to our Peer Leaders and families who will be walking the Exhibit Hall floor to share more about their personal experiences facing a parent's cancer. Many of our Peer Leaders aspire to study and work in healthcare fields, and we're thrilled to offer them this leadership development opportunity at the world's largest cancer conference.

We can't wait to reconnect and meet new friends and partners at McCormick Place! ๏ปฟ๐Ÿ’š

Peer leaders are a reminder of what makes Pickles Group so special. ๐Ÿ’š

Theyโ€™ve lived this experience themselves, and now theyโ€™re showing up for younger kids with empathy, understanding, and real connection.

Sometimes the people who know exactly what youโ€™re going through are the ones who help you feel less alone.

Be one of the 250 starting today. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ“–
Last fall, you helped us launch Pickles Jars, our new year-round program for kids facing a parent's complex, advanced, or incurable cancer, and for kids who have already lost a parent.

As that program has grown, so have the questions. Parents and kids are looking for the words to have some of their most important conversations.

That's why today we're launching our first-ever "How to Talk to Kids About Advanced Cancer" support kit, a free booklet with child-friendly definitions and guidance around topics such as hospice, palliative care, legacy making, and more.

And we need your help to get it into the hands of families this fall.

๐Ÿงก When 250 donors give by June 19, you'll help unlock a $12,500 matching gift from the Grossman Charitable Trust

๐Ÿงก We're raising $40,000 to ship 20,500 kits to hospitals and families across the country

๐Ÿงก Your gift of any size makes a real impact when they can benefit most

You have the power to give families the words for the hardest conversations.
