Our Summer Youth Program REGISTRATION CLOSES this Friday, June 26. For kids ages 6-18. All programs are FREE.

Our summer programs start in July, and run through August, bridging a critical gap for kids and teens during the summer months when support systems like school, clubs, and sports aren’t as readily available. As kids and teens get ready for a big school year, Pickles Group offers a space where they can find connection and support.

Research shows that kids whose parents have cancer benefit most from three things: honest, age-appropriate information about cancer, coping skills, and peer-to-peer support.

We recognize that Father's Day can bring many emotions for the families in our community.

Earlier this month at the Association of Oncology Social Work (AOSW) Conference, Breast Cancer Clinical Social Worker Allana Ferguson shared why she refers families to Pickles and the impact she has seen when kids have access to peer support and community during a parent's cancer diagnosis.

We're deeply grateful to partner with healthcare professionals like Allana who help connect families to the resources they need. We may not have had any Minions with us, but we had plenty of smiles!

Last Sunday, Pickles families gathered at the Wilmette Theatre for a special end-of-school-year celebration featuring Despicable Me. It was a wonderful time filled with laughter, connection, popcorn, and community.

Thank you to the 20+ amazing Pickles families who joined us to celebrate another school year together.
