WOW🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾What a moment for 1 Jar Foundation & Hug A Child Nfp!. 🎒❤️
Yesterday, we celebrated our 7th Annual Community Unity Back-to-School Event, and the community showed up BIG! We distributed over 1,000 book bags and shared a day filled with food, fun, resources, love, and TOGETHERNESS🙏🏾🦾🙌🏾

A special thank you to my partner Saleasha Peterson for standing firm beside me, pushing the vision forward, and remaining dedicated to our organizations and our community❤️

Thank you to our incredible community partners: Victory Ministries, Peace in the Village, Firehouse, Nina’s Love Train, Near North 365, ONE Northside, 18th District Police Station, Seward Park, Seward Park PAC, PEP, Cabrini Green LAC, Cabrini Art House, every organization and individual who helped make this possible‼️
A huge thank you to our elected officials and leaders who continue to support this work: Alderman Walter “RED”Burnett Jr., State Representative Jawaharial “Omar” Williams, State Comptroller Susana Mendoza, State Representative Yolonda Morris, and Senator Lakesia Collins. Your continued support of our communities and grassroots organizations matters‼️🙌🏾🗣️
THIS is what collaboration over competition looks like. This is not a one-person army it takes partnership, purpose, and community🙏🏾🙌🏾‼️
From North Lawndale, East & West Garfield Park, the Near West Side, to my home the Near North Side we will continue showing up🦾🐐🗣️🙏🏾
Home is home, and we will always bring it back home🗣️🦾🗣️🦾❤️
Silence the noise👉🏾👉🏾👉🏾Walk in your purpose🦾🦾Stay focused on the mission🤞
Yesterday, WE DID IT AGAIN‼️🙌🏾🎒❤️
