OBITUARY
✔️DR PRATAP C. KUMAR , CARDIOLOGIST, HAS PASSED AWAY

▪️Dr Pratap Kumar, Chicago’s Eminent Cardiologist and Chair, Department of Cardiology, Jackson Park Hospital, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, September 11 in Oakbrook, Illinois.

▪️Dr Kumar was a lifelong resident of Oakbrook. He was Past President of the Indian American Medical Association of Illinois.

▪️During his lifetime in 1996 Dr Pratap C. Kumar founded ATMG USA : the Association of Tamilnadu Medical Graduates.

▪️Earlier in 1990, Dr Kumar Co-Founded SAOAAP USA - South Asian Organization For AIDS Awareness & Prevention. This organization was first to erect a billboard on AIDS AWARENESS in India in 1993.

▪️Dr Pratap Kumar passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him.

▪️Dr Pratap C Kumar is survived by his wife Jayanthy; Daughter, Dr Aarti and her husband; Son Dr. Praveen and his wife; and grandchildren.

▪️The final rites will be held at 11 am on Monday, September 15, at Sullivan Funeral Home, Hinsdale, Illinois.
