Feel the rhythm. Hear the story. Celebrate our shared roots. Join us for Our Roots, Our Story: Music, Dance, and Legacy — an evening of live performance, cultural connection, and powerful storytelling through music and movement.

Experience the vibrant traditions of Puerto Rican Bomba and West African drumming with performances and presentations by La Escuelita Bombera De Corazón™️ and Victoriadjembe. Through rhythm, dance, and community, this program explores themes of resilience, liberation, and cultural legacy across the African and Latin diasporas.

Victoria Djembe Academy and the Chicago Warriors drum class was spectacular. We got a visit from producer Michael Gleason from Can TV. He definitely enjoyed the class. Thank you to Daphne, Jeffrey Sr, Jeffrey Jr, and Julian Johnson for always coming out to the drum class.

Victoria Djembe Academy mission is to provide a safe and inclusive space for people with disabilities to be seen, heard, and valued through African drumming.

The Chicago Warriors and I are performing on April 4th and 18th. Next drum class is May 16th

As a self autism advocate, It is important that people with disabilities get the opportunity to perform but also learn about West African drumming.

Truly bless for another birthday around the sun. God has been a blessing in my life. To advocate for the disability community through African drumming is important to me. Also, I will continue to represent women to play djembe drum. Happy birthday to me!!! My favorite saying is never let anyone limit your abilities.

Victoria Djembe Academy and Chicago Warriors drum class was amazing. We had two amazing friends from the drum and dance community came out and drum.

Victoria Djembe Academy mission is to provide a safe and inclusive space for people with disabilities to be seen, heard, and valued through African drumming.

Our mai purpose is to allow African drumming to help build social skills, confidence, and independence.

Next drum class is March 14th at 1pm

What an amazing drum class!!! Victoria Djembe Academy and the Chicago Warriors drum class was inspirational and exciting. We played Balakulandjan, Moribayssa, and Makru. All of these rhythms are from Guinea, West Africa.

Victoria Djembe Academy drum class was amazing!! Not only do the students get to learn new rhythms, but they also have performance opportunities to showcase what they learn in front of different audiences. I am so grateful to collaborate with the Chicago Warriors on a monthly basis to facilitate African drum classes for the disability community.

I am truly honored that allows me to facilitate monthly African drumming for the Arlington Heights community. Thank you to the amazing students Theo, Karina, and .gaden23 for coming out consistently to drum. I also can't forget for bringing joy and enthusiasm every month. I am sad you are moving, but i am truly grateful to have met you. Last but not least, thank you, and Kaisa, for allowing me to come into your space to facilitate the African drum circle.

Cheers to 2025 and on to more drumming in 2026.
