Founded in 1930 by 17 accomplished women, Fashion Group International is a global, non-profit association whose mission is to provide resources, connections and career support for 5000 members. Fashion Group is an essential industry resource to connect members to information, inspiration, education, events, industry leaders, global resources, historic archives, established professionals, new talen

t, innovators, tastemakers, award winners, and most importantly each other. In order to join FGI, there is an annual dues fee that goes toward supporting programming for future events & member opportunities. Members get access to discounted or free event tickets, access to FGI global events, a private Facebook group, a global member directory, among other perks. We aim to to support our members to become more successful and involved in the Chicago fashion community within their respective careers.

Due to severe weather conditions and tornado warnings throughout the region, we have made the difficult decision to postpone tonight's edition of The Gentleman's Blueprint: The Art of Bespoke for the Modern Man.

The safety of our guests, speakers, volunteers, and staff is our highest priority.

All ticket holders will receive a full refund, and we are working to secure a new date. Updated event details will be shared as soon as possible.

It all began in 1928, when 17 women gathered by Edna Woolman Chase, Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, met for lunch in a modest midtown New York restaurant.

They had three things in common: Each held a job of consequence in the business of fashion, each held all the others in high regard and together they held a belief that fashion needed a forum to express and enhance a widening awareness of the American fashion business and of women’s roles in that business.

The Fashion Group®, conceived at an informal luncheon in 1928 became an organization in 1930, with a place, a purpose, by-laws, officers and women eager to be members.

Today, The Fashion Group® offers membership to all professionals.

Thank you to Apparel Industry Board Inc., Nicole Ruiz, and Diana Muzzy of Fine Fabric Sales for creating such a valuable resource for Chicago’s fashion and creative community and for inviting us to be part of the Popup Garment District.

It was wonderful to see so many industry reps, service providers, educators, and creative professionals come together to share knowledge, resources, materials, and connections with the community.

Thank you to all of the presenters, vendors, volunteers, and attendees who contributed to making the event such a meaningful experience.
