Trans-led nonprofit centering Disabled BIPOC 2TIGE communities through direct aid, care, and education.

Trans Empowerment Project is a national, community-led nonprofit working to move the 2Spirit, Trans, Intersex, and Gender-Expansive (2TIGE) community out of crisis and into thriving futures. We center Disabled, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) 2TIGE individuals by providing direct aid, mutual support, education, and community-driven programs that meet real needs in real time. Our work includes emergency microgrants, community care initiatives, leadership development, and ally education rooted in accountability, not saviorism. We believe liberation requires more than visibility and awareness. It requires dismantling white supremacy, ableism, and other systems of oppression within q***r spaces as well as beyond them, while building equitable systems of care that are led by the people most impacted. Each TEP microgrant is $200, so we’re challenging our supporters to raise enough to cover one full grant.

The first 10 people to raise $200 by October 12th get a special TEP care package with swag, stickers, a special-edition Dr. Bronner’s Pride bottle, and other goodies. (Giveaway open to US residents only)

Hate is constantly being amplified, but we can choose love.

Our Emergency Rapid Response Microgrant application opens TODAY from 12pm–6pm CT. This is the last opportunity to apply during this funding cycle for one of 10 emergency $200 microgrants available this week.

These grants are intended to help 2TIGE community members with urgent survival needs like:
💜 Food
💜 Rent or temporary housing
💜 Medication
💜 Utilities
💜 Transportation to safety
💜 Other emergency essentials

Applications are selected through a weighted random drawing that prioritizes community members who are BIPOC, disabled, unhoused/housing unstable, and caregivers.
