Our parking lot and sidewalks are ready for visitors. Only two weeks are left to see “Little Women”, a recreation of the March sisters’ home on the main floor. The last tour today is at 3:30. No reservations necessary. Great rooms to visit on the second floor also.

Thanks to everyone who supported Stems & Steins. We had tremendous sponsors, great silent auction and raffle donors, delicious food provided by Nonno Pino's Italian Kitchen in Edison Park and FireWater in Edison Park. Guests enjoyed the entertainment provided by Wayne Faust who gave us his original song “Norwood Park”.

The volunteers were stupendous. Resurrection Hogh School and Notre College Prep Dame sent students who worked very hard to set up. Students from St. Juliana and Immaculate Conception were great at closing and putting everything away.

What a fantastic community we have!

Tomorrow is our biggest fundraiser from 3-6 pm on the grounds of Chicago’s oldest house at 5624 N. Newark Avenue. Plenty of street (free) parking. 3 hours of unlimited wine and beer tastings with appetizers from Nonno Pino’s, silent auction, live music, raffles and a 50/50 game. All for $65. Monies raised are going to help replace our deteriorated fencing. Hope to see everyone there.

Great News! Stems 24 is scheduled for September 21, 2024 from 3-6PM on the grounds of Chicago's oldest house at 5624 N. Newark. 3 hours of UNLIMITED wine and beer tastings for $65, thanks to Mullarkey Brothers and WineStyles Norwood Park. Wonderful offerings from local restaurants, entertainment provided by the renowmed Norwood Park original, Wayne Faust, silent auctions and raffles. Come over to Chicago’s oldest house at 5624 N. Newark Avenue between 12 and 4 PM this Saturday and you will be glad you did.

Our exhibit “Diamonds and Lace” has been such a success that we would love to share it with more visitors. Wedding dresses from 1940-2023 on loan from our members are artfully displayed throughout our first floor. $5.00 donations are requested.
