IT'S GIVING TUESDAY!!

We are specifically fundraising this year for The Parlor - our resource redistribution project that:
- supports non-profits & mutual aid groups with essential resources, & helps increase services & support to vulnerable communities
- helps our neighbors clear out unwanted items while also supporting others
- reduces landfill contributions from our community.

Please consider supporting us today with a donation for Giving Tuesday!

We love donations of $5, $10, $20, however donations of over $50 have the option to select a Perk from bungalow by middle brow! As a thank you for supporting us, you can get free wine, pizza, or both!! We are so grateful to middle brow for their support with our campaign this year.

We're so excited to be bringing back the Logan Square Volunteer Fair on Sunday, October 22 at The Joinery (2533 W Homer). Here are some pics from our last event which was so wonderful!

We'll have over 18 local non-profits and community organizations with volunteer opportunities for you to get involved this fall and winter!

The past two events this year have been incredible, and have connected so many people with new ways to give back, meet new people and have fun!

Of course, Trash People will also be there talking about our work and goals for 2024. Will share the registration link in the comments. We hope to see many of you there!

This Saturday! Join us for our second Share Fair at Grace Church!

From 10-12.30, come drop off items on our list including pens, pencils, and lots of items our neighborhood teachers need, as well as lots of other items such as paper/plastic grocery bags, egg cartons, empty pill bottles and SO MUCH MORE!

Everything we are collecting will be reused right here in our neighborhood. Clear out your wanted items, reduce your landfill contribution, and support your community. 🥰

Join us this Saturday July 15 for our first ever Share Fair - an event that aims to help you clear out your unwanted items, while also directly supporting others here in our community.

We'll be collecting items that are on our collection list only (please don't bring anything not on the list - we won't take it!) - and everything collected will be redistributed here within the neighborhood. Most items will be headed to projects supporting our new migrant neighbors.

Over the past several weeks, Trash People have been partnering with Palenque LSNA and New Hope Bible Church to set up and run basic services for our new neighbors, migrants that have recently arrived in Chicago.

Our friends at New Hope have opened their space for this project without any additional funding or staffing, and need our help with a little summer spruce up!

Come join us as we tackle an indoor/outdoor clean - we'll be doing a deep clean of the interior of the community space, as well as a community clean up at Greenbaum Park (which REALLY needs our love and attention).

This is going to be a really fun event, and will be a great intro for anyone considering getting more involved with our New Neighbor Project (we are looking for volunteers!)
