YES, WE’RE RAISING MONEY AGAIN FOR THE ASH TREES IN THE GLEN. PLEASE DONATE TODAY.

By the end of May, all the trees will be inventoried to finalize the Bid Documents for the EAB Treatment this summer. In June, three legitimate and vetted companies will competitively bid the inoculation services. Before July 4th we’ll award the project to one qualified group, and the trees will be treated before Labor Day.
However, we can only treat as many trees as we raise money for. The cost of inoculation has gone up and the trees have grown, so this effort could cost as much as $11,000 in 2026.

We are excited to announce that we are returning FGCC's community garage sale back to June this year. Based on community feedback we will have a single day sale on Saturday, June 13.

$15 registration fee includes permit and advertising. Please register by May 29 to be included in map. First 20 homes registered by May 15 will be entered in a drawing!!

Important Update! IDOT has announced that as part of ongoing efforts to rebuild the bridge carrying Foster Avenue over the Kennedy Expressway (Interstate 90), a ramp closure along with overnight lane closures are scheduled to begin, weather permitting, Monday, May 4th.

By 5 a.m. Monday, May 4, the westbound Foster Avenue ramp to the outbound Kennedy will close for approximately three months. During that time, the public also should expect overnight lane closures on the outbound Kennedy approaching Foster Avenue between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. At least one outbound lane will remain open. The other Foster Avenue ramps to and from the Kennedy will remain open.

Foster Avenue continues to be closed at the bridge with a detour directing traffic to Nagel, Bryn Mawr, Milwaukee and Central avenues. Pedestrians and bicyclists also should continue to follow the posted detours. ​

SAVE FOREST GLEN’S ASH TREE CANOPY! EAB is still a THREAT in 2026!! Please Donate Now.

All of the Ash Trees in Forest Glen are due for the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Inoculation again in the summer of 2026.

The Glen is fundraising again (like we did in 2020 and 2023) to pay for this cycle’s EAB treatment. Please consider a donation. The cost to treat the average ash tree in FG is $220 per tree (depending on size). There are approximately 50 viable ash trees in the neighborhood – look for the inoculation tags as depicted in the photo.

Forest Glen long time resident, Gail Rockwell passed away on Monday. She and her husband Bob were very involved in the community club until health issues curbed their activity. Gail was an active member of the Young at Hearts Club for many years. Please keep the Rockwell family in your thoughts and prayers.
