Before you put away your old bicycle for the winter, consider donating it to working bikes. If you cannot take the bicycle to their shop make sure to check out their neighborhood drop off locations or send us a message and we can deliver it for you.

"Working Bikes accepts donations of bikes, bike parts, and accessories. To donate, come to our warehouse/shop at 2434 S. Western Ave. any time during business hours, 12-7pm Wednesday and Thursday, 12-5 pm Friday and Saturday. At all other times, if the lights are on but the door is locked please ring the buzzer."

Working Bikes and Faith Community of Saint Sabina are doing this great event. They will be giving away 100 bikes, if you have the time check them out.

We're collaborating with The Faith Community of Saint Sabina to throw a back-to-school BBQ and ride for peace in Chicago THIS FRIDAY at 7pm. We will be donating 100+ bikes to the children and adults of Auburn-Gresham as part of our ongoing Cycle of Power/Cycle of Peace program. Inner-City Muslim Action Network (IMAN), City of Chicago's Bicycling Ambassadors, Slow Roll Chicago, Active Transportation Alliance, and Divvy Bikes will be joining us as well. All of this is made possible by a generous grant from The Chicago Fund for Safe and Peaceful Communities.

Save the date for our Paleta Ride, the first of our morning ride series. We will meet at the Family Dental parking lot and will be riding to Paleteria Jamay in Hegewisch. Bring some cash to enjoy a cold Paleta (or ice cream).
