What would our neighborhoods look like if every relationship - interpersonal, systemic, and structural - was built in a way that everyone had what they need??
What would our neighborhoods look like if every conflict became a doorway to a deeper relationship instead of a dead end?
For ten years those questions have driven everything we do at Nehemiah Trinity Rising. We’ve educated more than 2000 persons, trained hundreds of peacemakers and helped to establish 2 vital coalitions to advocate for rights justice. We trained six cohorts representing 29 organizations to address disproportionate infant/mother mortality. This June, we convened 88
restorative justice practitioners from across Illinois for our first hosting of the quarterly City-Wide Restorative Justice Meeting.
We accomplish our work through Education, Training, Collaborative Implementation and Advocacy.
We call it the AVALANCHE. Peace doesn’t happen by accident or by toothless mandates. It spreads relationship by relationship, throughout communities, systems and structures until it can’t be stopped.
Right now, we're raising $65,000 to lease our first dedicated home for this work and grow these City-Wide gatherings statewide. This is faith as love, put into action.
