Community Clothing Giveaway Gently used and new clothing, shoes, and other items will be available while supplies last.

Today’s Conversation with a fellow Pastor.

If I go to a buffet and eat fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, dressing, red velvet cake, and go back for second and third helpings, then wash it all down with a Diet Coke, what does that Diet Coke really do?

Nothing.

All it does is make me feel a little better about what I just did.

Sometimes that’s how people treat church.

They live however they want Monday through Saturday. No prayer. No Bible reading. No worship. No devotion. No pursuit of God. Then they show up on Sunday for one service and think everything is fine and in a hurry to leave.

Sunday worship is powerful, but it was never meant to replace a daily walk with God.

A Diet Coke won’t fix a bad diet, and one church service won’t replace a neglected spiritual life.

Many people don’t want transformation; they want consolation.
They don’t want discipleship; they want relief.
They don’t want a cross; they want comfort.

That’s what I call “Diet Church.”

It makes you feel good, but it doesn’t change you.

Real Christianity is not a Sunday event or concert.
It is a daily relationship.

Jesus said, “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross DAILY, and follow me.” (Luke 9:23)

Don’t settle for feeling better.
Pursue being transformed.
