🚨🚨D.O.Y. REACHES A MAJOR MILESTONE: 10,000+ PEOPLE IMPACTED THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE, PREVENTION, AND OPPORTUNITY🌎

2025–2026 Community Impact Report

Today, Diversity of Youth Corp (D.O.Y.) is proud to recognize a milestone that represents far more than a number.
Over the 2025–2026 program year, D.O.Y. worked alongside young people, families, returning citizens, elders, and residents across multiple communities through violence prevention, youth development, sports, education, wellness, food assistance, mentoring, behavioral-health connections, reentry support, community events, and direct services.

10,000+ PEOPLE REACHED

Behind every person counted is a story.
A young person who found a safe place after school.

A student who received school supplies before the first day of class.
A family that received food when times were difficult.A returning citizen who received help navigating the next step.
An elder who received a wellness check.
A child who received a winter coat or holiday toy.A resident who was connected to civil-aid resources.

A young person who had someone step in when they were experiencing bullying.
A neighborhood resident who benefited from community safety and violence-prevention efforts.

This is what community impact looks like.

OUR 2025–2026 IMPACT AT A GLANCE

ADULTS, FAMILIES & COMMUNITY RESIDENTS -
Our work extended beyond youth.
D.O.Y. supported adults, families, elders, returning citizens and other residents through:

FOOD & BASIC-NEEDS ASSISTANCE

Our food-support efforts included:
food distributions
2,150 people/household members reached
elders/residents receiving wellness or food deliveries
meals/food packages distributed
We believe that violence prevention and youth development cannot be separated from the basic needs of the people we serve.

A young person cannot focus on school, employment or their future when their family is struggling to put food on the table.

WELLNESS CHECKS & COMMUNITY CARE
1,400 WELLNESS CONTACTS
D.O.Y. conducted wellness outreach to residents who needed connection, support, resources or simply someone checking in.
Our community-care efforts included:

• Follow-up services
Every check-in is an opportunity to prevent a crisis before it becomes an emergency.

MENTAL & BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
550 PEOPLE CONNECTED TO SERVICES
D.O.Y. continued building pathways toward mental and behavioral-health support by connecting residents and youth with appropriate resources, counseling opportunities, referrals and supportive services.
Our goal is simple:
Don't wait until a crisis happens to care.
Early intervention, trusted relationships, mentorship and access to appropriate services can change the direction of a person's life.

SPORTS & POSITIVE YOUTH ENGAGEMENT
850 YOUTH PARTICIPANTS
Sports are more than recreation.
They create structure.
They create relationships.
They teach teamwork, discipline, accountability and leadership.
Through D.O.Y. sports leagues and recreational activities, young people had opportunities to spend their time in positive environments while building relationships with mentors, coaches and peers.
850 sports participants

Reentry should mean more than release.
It should mean an opportunity to rebuild.

It's helping them actually navigate the system.

CIVIL-AID ASSISTANCE
100 RESIDENTS ASSISTED
D.O.Y. helped residents identify and navigate civil-aid resources involving issues that can affect stability, safety and opportunity.
We connected residents to appropriate resources and organizations when specialized legal assistance was needed.
Information creates power.
Access creates opportunity.

Community is also about creating memories.

COMMUNITY EVENTS

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE NUMBER
When we say 10,000+ people, we're not talking about statistics alone.
We're talking about:
10,000+ opportunities to make a difference.
10,000+ opportunities to listen.
10,000+ opportunities to connect someone to a resource.
10,000+ opportunities to encourage a young person.
10,000+ opportunities to support a family.
10,000+ opportunities to strengthen our community.
And our work is not finished.

OUR NEXT MILESTONE
The 2025–2026 year demonstrated what is possible when residents, families, mentors, volunteers, donors, community organizations and D.O.Y. staff work together.
But 10,000 is not the finish line.
It is proof that the model can grow.
Our next chapter is about expanding access to:
Safe spaces.
Education.
Mentorship.
Employment.
Mental-health resources.
Violence prevention.
Food assistance.
Reentry support.
Leadership.
Opportunity.
We are building a system where a young person doesn't have to figure everything out alone.
Where a family knows where to turn.
Where returning citizens have a pathway forward.
Where elders are not forgotten.
Where communities have people willing to show up.
And where prevention begins long before a crisis.

THANK YOU
To every mentor.
Every volunteer.
Every coach.
Every donor.
Every community partner.
Every staff member.
Every parent.
Every young person who walked through our doors.
Every resident who trusted us.
Thank you.
This milestone belongs to all of us.

A YEAR OF IMPACT. A YEAR OF SERVICE. A YEAR OF SHOWING UP.

As we move into 2026, we are proud to reflect on the work that The Diversity of Youth Corp has accomplished throughout the year.

We didn't just talk about change—we created it.

We organized youth sports events that brought young people together in safe, positive environments. We provided mentoring in our parks and neighborhoods, helping youth build confidence, leadership skills, and hope for their future. We conducted violence prevention outreach, meeting people where they are and working to make our communities safer. We hosted food giveaways, distributed essential resources, and participated in community cleanups to help restore pride in our neighborhoods.

In addition, we provided youth development programming, life skills training, educational workshops, and community surveys that allowed residents to share their concerns, needs, and vision for the future of their neighborhoods. Through these efforts, we gained valuable insight while ensuring community voices remained at the center of our work.

We have also worked tirelessly to support returning citizens reentering society by connecting them to resources, community services, mentorship, workforce opportunities, supportive services, and guidance needed to successfully rebuild their lives and become productive members of the community.

Beyond support services, we helped community members secure employment opportunities, connect with employers, and gain the skills necessary to enter and remain in the workforce. By helping individuals obtain jobs and achieve economic stability, we contributed to strengthening local families, increasing household income, and supporting economic growth within the communities we serve.

Most recently, during our Community Event, we provided families with free diapers, clothing, shoes, hygiene products, hot meals, and supportive services. Families walked through our doors and left with more than supplies—they left knowing their community cares about them.
The photos from this event represent more than donations. They represent dignity. They represent opportunity. They represent a commitment to serving people regardless of their circumstances.

Every diaper distributed helped a struggling parent. Every meal served helped a family in need. Every piece of clothing provided restored confidence. Every workshop delivered created opportunity. Every returning citizen supported represented a second chance. Every job secured helped strengthen a family and our local economy. Every conversation with a young person planted a seed for a brighter future.
Our mission has always been simple: Empower Youth. Strengthen Community. Create Change.

The work we have accomplished this year demonstrates our ability to effectively serve residents, mobilize volunteers, build partnerships, and deliver meaningful resources directly into the community. We remain committed to expanding our impact throughout Illinois, and other underserved communities through youth development, mentorship, workforce development, job placement assistance, educational programming, violence prevention, reentry support, and family stabilization services.

As we await the outcome of 2026, we are proud of what we have already accomplished with limited resources. Imagine the lives we can transform with expanded support and investment.
These accomplishments are not measured only by the number of events we host or resources we distribute. They are measured by the youth who now have positive role models, the families who received help when they needed it most, the returning citizens who found a path forward, the individuals who gained employment and economic stability, and the communities that are becoming stronger because people chose to come together.

To every volunteer, donor, partner, mentor, and community member who has stood beside us—thank you. This movement belongs to all of us.

We are not just serving our community. We are helping rebuild it.

On behalf of The Diversity Of Youth Corp (D.O.Y.), we would like to sincerely Thank Chicago Sky for providing our youth with the opportunity to attend a live WNBA game at the Wintrust Arena.

For many of our young athletes, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and their first chance to witness professional women's basketball in person. Seeing talented athletes compete at the highest level inspired our youth to dream bigger, work harder, and believe that success on and off the court is possible. Experiences like this help motivate our young people to pursue their goals, further their careers, and become successful leaders in life.

Thank you for supporting our youth and giving them an opportunity they will never forget.

The Diversity Of Youth continues to make a positive impact through community beautification and environmental stewardship initiatives. 🌍

By removing litter and restoring public spaces, our volunteers are helping create cleaner neighborhoods, supporting a healthier environment, and fostering community pride.

These efforts also provide valuable opportunities to develop leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and civic engagement while making a meaningful difference in the communities they serve.

At Diversity of Youth (D.O.Y.), we believe that success begins with accountability and guidance. This photo represents much more than a group of young people standing together—it represents structure, discipline, leadership, mentorship, and community.

As shown here, our youth are organized, attentive, and moving together with purpose. Through mentorship and outreach, we teach the importance of discipline, respect, teamwork, leadership, and personal responsibility—qualities that help young people succeed both today and in the future.

In the background is our D.O.Y. facility, where we provide:

- Life Skills Workshops
- Mentorship & Leadership Development
- Violence Prevention Programs
- Educational Support & Career Readiness
- Community Outreach Opportunities
- Resource Navigation & Family Support Services
- Positive Youth Engagement Activities
- Character Building & Personal Development

Our goal is to create an environment where young people learn to lead, serve, and make positive decisions while developing the confidence and discipline necessary to become productive members of society.
A special thank you to Cradles to Crayons for their continued support in helping our youth and families receive essential resources. Partnerships like yours help us ensure that young people have access to the tools they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Every line formed, every lesson taught, and every young person reached is another step toward building stronger leaders and stronger communities.

"Discipline creates structure. Mentorship creates opportunity. Together, they create future leaders."

🌍The Diversity of Youth Corp (D.O.Y.) – Building Futures, Changing Lives 🌍

At The Diversity of Youth Corp, we believe every young person deserves an opportunity to succeed, dream bigger, and discover their full potential. What started as a vision to create positive opportunities for youth has continued to grow into a movement dedicated to empowering the next generation.

Every day, we work to provide a safe, supportive, and motivating environment where teens can develop leadership skills, build confidence, strengthen character, and create pathways toward success. Through mentorship, athletics, educational support, community engagement, and positive activities, we are helping young people understand that their circumstances do not define their future—their determination, effort, and resilience do.

As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same: to inspire, uplift, and equip youth with the tools they need to become successful leaders in their communities and beyond. Watching our young people develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, and a vision for their future is the greatest reward.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Good Sports for their incredible partnership and support. Your generosity has helped make opportunities like these possible for our youth. Because of your commitment to investing in young people, we are able to provide resources, equipment, and experiences that encourage healthy lifestyles, personal growth, and lifelong success.

Together, we are proving that when communities come together, amazing things happen. The future is bright, and we are honored to continue this journey with our youth, families, supporters, and partners.
