2025–2026 Community Impact Report
Today, Diversity of Youth Corp (D.O.Y.) is proud to recognize a milestone that represents far more than a number.
Over the 2025–2026 program year, D.O.Y. worked alongside young people, families, returning citizens, elders, and residents across multiple communities through violence prevention, youth development, sports, education, wellness, food assistance, mentoring, behavioral-health connections, reentry support, community events, and direct services.

Behind every person counted is a story.
A young person who found a safe place after school.
A student who received school supplies before the first day of class.

A young person who had someone step in when they were experiencing bullying.

Throughout the year, D.O.Y. helped address immediate household needs through food distributions and community assistance.
Our food-support efforts included:

We believe that violence prevention and youth development cannot be separated from the basic needs of the people we serve.
A young person cannot focus on school, employment or their future when their family is struggling to put food on the table.
WELLNESS CHECKS & COMMUNITY CARE
1,400 WELLNESS CONTACTS
D.O.Y. conducted wellness outreach to residents who needed connection, support, resources or simply someone checking in.
Our community-care efforts included:
• Wellness checks
• Senior outreach
• Disability-community support
• Resource referrals
• Food deliveries
• Case-management connections
• Follow-up services
Every check-in is an opportunity to prevent a crisis before it becomes an emergency.
MENTAL & BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
550 PEOPLE CONNECTED TO SERVICES
D.O.Y. continued building pathways toward mental and behavioral-health support by connecting residents and youth with appropriate resources, counseling opportunities, referrals and supportive services.
Our goal is simple:
Don't wait until a crisis happens to care.
Early intervention, trusted relationships, mentorship and access to appropriate services can change the direction of a person's life.
SPORTS & POSITIVE YOUTH ENGAGEMENT
850 YOUTH PARTICIPANTS
Sports are more than recreation.
They create structure.
They create relationships.
They teach teamwork, discipline, accountability and leadership.
Through D.O.Y. sports leagues and recreational activities, young people had opportunities to spend their time in positive environments while building relationships with mentors, coaches and peers.

For qualifying participants, D.O.Y. provided financial incentives designed to encourage participation, leadership, responsibility and successful completion of program activities.

It should mean an opportunity to rebuild.
CASE MANAGEMENT & COMMUNITY SERVICES

Our case-management and community-service efforts helped residents navigate barriers and connect with available resources.
Support included:

Sometimes the most important service isn't simply giving someone a resource.
It's helping them actually navigate the system.

D.O.Y. helped residents identify and navigate civil-aid resources involving issues that can affect stability, safety and opportunity.
We connected residents to appropriate resources and organizations when specialized legal assistance was needed.
Information creates power.

MENTORING

Our mentors provided something every young person deserves:

VIOLENCE PREVENTION & COMMUNITY SAFETY

D.O.Y.'s violence-prevention approach focuses on engagement, prevention, de-escalation, mentorship and connecting residents with resources.
Our community safety teams worked to:
• Identify concerns
• Engage residents
• De-escalate situations
• Connect youth with positive alternatives
• Support safe community spaces
• Encourage residents to seek appropriate emergency services when necessary
• Build relationships before problems escalate
