A caring community can bring comfort in ways that truly matter. We are beyond thankful to the children, families, and staff of Park West Cooperative Nursery School for their ongoing support and recent donation of comfort care kit items. Every item donated helps a child know that they are not alone. It's so inspiring to see compassion shared at such a young age. Thank you Park West community for helping to take care of all of Esther's pediatric inpatient friends across Chicago!

Acts of kindness, big and small, make a meaningful difference in the lives of the families we serve. So we want to say a huge thank you to the students and families of St. Paul Lutheran School for their BIG act of kindness with their recent donation of comfort care kit items! These thoughtful supplies will brighten the days of so many children during difficult times. We are so grateful for a community that continues to show kindness through action. There is something powerful about placing a book directly into a young child's hands - especially when that child is in the hospital. We are honored to have delivered over 300 board books to hospitalized children, helping bring comfort and distraction during difficult days. Esther loved books, so sharing something that brought her such joy and seeing these books reach the hands of young children who need them most - that is what it is all about. Thank you for making this possible!

Drop off days are always the best! Thank you to everyone who donates and supports our mission. Together we're able to bring a little extra comfort and light into hospital rooms across Chicagoland. Brightening the days of children is what it is all about!

Today we were fortunate enough to donate over 600 books to children at Rush University Children's Hospital, putting our total donation at over 3,000 books! Thank you so much for helping get a book in the hands of so many pediatric inpatients. Together we can make owning a book a reality!

We are thrilled to have received a generous donation of 50 books from En Español, so that Esther's pediatric inpatient friends can continue to learn during their hospitalizations! En Español's focus on multicultural connections, STEAM, and empowerment will allow children to escape into a world of knowledge during their difficult hospitalizations. Esther's Friends knows the transformative power of a book and is excited to hear about the difference these books make to our often overlooked community. Thank you!

Thank you to Cub Scout Troop 3210 for donating over 40 comfort care kits for Esther's pediatric inpatient friends! As a Child Life Specialist recently shared, “a patient was really having a hard time - feeling very discouraged. She ended up being with us for an extended period of time. Fortunately, we have our Esther’s Friends’ kits available. She was so excited to receive hers. I think that it was the first time that I saw her smile throughout her entire hospitalization. Thank you for providing this stress relief for her and for bringing a little happiness to her day!” These kits mean so much to so many and we are so grateful for Cub Scout Troop 3210 and their support.
