I came across an interesting article on vitamin D and breast cancer treatment. In one study, women took 2,000 IU daily during 6 months of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and the vitamin D group had a higher pathologic complete response rate than placebo. I pay close attention to my own levels and adjust my vitamin D accordingly, usually in the 10,000–15,000 IU range when my labs call for it.
