Dándole Tech is addressing the Digital Divide by providing future leaders accessibility to technology that has been repurposed to not only enlighten minds but create limitless opportunities for the tech entrepreneurs of tomorrow. As Chicago Public School students return to school via a remote E-Learning platform, one thing was very apparent at the end of the prior school year was the severely low

accessibility and availability of technology within the brown and black communities. According to recently surveyed educators, students who have working computers, speakers, headphones, along with high-internet speeds tend to have a better learning experience. Unfortunately, the reality is that many students within the Chicago Public Schools District don't have these essential items and they've struggled without them for quite some time. We will be using the collected funds to repurpose donated technology and provide learning opportunities for young minds to gain the ability to fix computer equipment all on their own.

✨ Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Day of the Dead Sip & Paint! It was such a beautiful Sunday afternoon filled with creativity, color, and remembrance. We loved seeing how each of you brought your art to life and shared photos of your transitioned loved ones, a touching reminder that they’re always with us in spirit.

Together, through ticket and raffle sales (and a few generous donations!), we raised $705 to help bridge the digital divide and bring access to technology to underserved communities. 💻💙

Even more special, this collaboration is between Lane Tech College Prep’s Class of 2022 Alum Leslie Sanchez, Liljana Miteva & Marisa Díaz- Arce 🎨🍹 A beautiful full-circle moment celebrating tradition, creativity, and giving back.

Join us for a festive afternoon honoring loved ones and supporting local woman-owned businesses:

Last week, we had the joy of visiting La Escuela Elemental María Teresa Serrano in Carolina, Puerto Rico, where we donated two laptops to help bring the new parent resource area in the school’s library to life.

A special thank you to Secretary Camacho & Director Carrasquillo for welcoming us into the school, sharing more about the needs, and receiving the devices with such warmth.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to support a community in the heart of Carolina that was named after the grandmother of Chicago native, Teresita Ayala. The start of this hub and look forward to seeing it grow into a valuable resource for families and the community. This is just the beginning of a wonderful partnership ahead.

La semana pasada tuvimos la alegría de visitar la Escuela Elemental María Teresa Serrano en Carolina, Puerto Rico, donde donamos dos computadoras portátiles para ayudar a dar vida al nuevo espacio de recursos para padres en la biblioteca de la escuela.
Un agradecimiento especial al Secretario Camacho y a la Directora Carrasquillo por recibirnos en la escuela, compartir más sobre las necesidades y acoger los equipos con tanta calidez.
Estamos muy agradecidos por la oportunidad de apoyar a una comunidad en el corazón de Carolina, que lleva el nombre de la abuela de la puertorriqueña de Chicago, Teresita Ayala. 🖥️✨ The Lab is Reset & Ready!

We’ve refreshed the Dandole Tech computer lab at Humboldt Park just in time for the start of the After School Matters ComEd Youth Ambassador Program, beginning this Monday! 💻🔥

This program gives teens the chance to build leadership, communication, and peer mentoring skills while supporting their instructor and leading group activities throughout the session.

We’re proud to provide the space and tech support needed to help make this program a success. Here’s to a summer of learning, connection, and growth right here in Humboldt Park! 🙌

5 years ago we donated this laptop to a student in need. She used it to complete her education and then paid it forward by donating it to another student. 💻🎓
