A huge thank you to the Bedford Park Clearing-Industrial Association for welcoming our girls as volunteers at this year’s Golf Outing! We’re so proud of these young leaders for showing up bright and early to support registration, event operations, and community engagement.

What an incredible Sunday for SHE Chicago. 🩷🖤💛

We are deeply grateful to the Obama Foundation for inviting our SHE Sisters to be part of such a powerful and historic experience at the Obama Presidential Center ahead of its opening.

Our SHE Sisters, Aubrey Clark, Emma Neumann, Edesha Hardman, Jaliyah Rich, Terrenique Pratt, Tessienique Pratt, Trinitee Pratt, Hailey McBryde, and Brooke Eason joined young women from across the city for an unforgettable conversation featuring First Lady Michelle Obama, Craig Robinson, and actress, writer, and producer Quinta Brunson.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing our very own Jaliyah Rich courageously step up to the microphone and ask a thoughtful question about how to stay centered and true to yourself as you grow, advance, and experience success in life. It was a profound question that reflected the depth, self-awareness, and leadership potential we work to cultivate in our girls every day.

The conversation centered on mentorship, leadership, community, and authenticity. Our SHE Sisters left inspired, affirmed, and reminded that their voices matter, their stories have power, and their futures are limitless.

As a South Side organization committed to developing the next generation of woman leaders, we are honored that our girls were able to experience a moment that reflects the very heart of our mission.

Thank you to the Obama Foundation, the Girls Opportunity Alliance, and everyone who made this opportunity possible. We are so proud of these remarkable young women for representing SHE Chicago with excellence, curiosity, courage, and grace.

At SHE Chicago, we often talk about the power of the village how Black women nurture, guide, protect, and pour into the next generation of girls until they become leaders in their own right. Today, that truth feels especially sacred. 💕💚

We are beyond proud to celebrate our Executive Director, Dominicca Washington, on becoming a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, as witnessed by her SHE Baby turned Soror, Jaida Whitney.

There is something deeply beautiful about mentoring a young woman, watching her grow, and one day standing beside her not only as mentor and mentee but as sisters. In Black womanhood, we do more than guide our daughters… we usher them into legacy, leadership, and everlasting sisterhood.

From SHE Chicago to sisterhood, this moment is a reminder that the seeds we plant in one another bloom for generations to come. 🩷💚

✨ Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ✨

In the spirit of service and purpose, SHE Chicago had the privilege of attending the MLK Day of Service hosted by the Imani Pearls Community Development Foundation Students engaged in powerful activities that allowed them to create vision boards, explore the power of storytelling, and learn the importance of preserving their family histories—reminding us that our stories matter and our dreams are worth nurturing.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the incredible women of the for their continued commitment to educating, uplifting, and serving our youth. Your dedication is shaping future leaders and honoring Dr. King’s legacy in action. 💜🕊️

✨💐 When given the opportunity to connect beyond their own communities, children truly flourish. Those opportunities are made possible by the adults who intentionally create spaces rooted in care, joy, and belonging.

The students of SHE Chicago were honored to attend the inspiring Coach Ben Johnson Contest at the Wintrust Sports Complex in the Village of Bedford Park. Students enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the facility, the excitement of the video arcade, winning prizes, and the shared joy and camaraderie of Chicago Bears fans coming together in community.

From SHE Chicago to the Village of Bedford Park and Adam, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for investing in our students and creating moments they will carry with them far beyond this day. ✨💐
