Did you know that 1 in 5 kids aged 8 to 17 experience a mental health disorder each year? The CDC's latest data highlights a growing crisis, with anxiety and depression rates soaring amongst young people.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, Life Without Limitations wants to shine a light on the urgent need for support and preventative initiatives.

Youth development programs, like Life Without Limitations, are making a difference! By providing leadership training, mentorship, and community support, we're helping promising young people build resilience and thrive. We couldn't wait to share this incredible journey with all of you! Over the past six weeks, our Executive Director Dwayne Wright II participated in "Program Elevate," a transformative capacity-building program hosted by AMPT, the Chicago Bulls, and PepsiCo.

We were one of 40 phenomenal local Black and Latinx nonprofits chosen for this life-changing experience, and it's been nothing short of amazing!
We are grateful for this opportunity to expand our leadership and professional development.

Through Program Elevate, we've had the privilege of learning from some of the best in the business – true impact agents in entertainment, sports, merchandise, and advocacy. Their insights and support have been invaluable. We're all on a journey to make a lasting impact and couldn't have asked for better guides.

Our team at Life Without Limitations now possesses new knowledge, fresh perspectives, and a renewed sense of confidence. We're ready to take on new challenges and create even more positive change in the lives of those we serve.

But this journey is far from over. We're excited to keep the momentum going and incredibly thankful for the continued support of AMPT: Advancing Nonprofits, Chicago Bulls, PepsiCo.

Our journey towards empowering youth and creating positive change has reached a new milestone. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the ICOY membership committee for welcoming us into this dynamic network of like-minded organizations. 🙏
