Midweek Lupus Warrior Check-In 💜🐝

Hey, Lupus Warriors! 🫶🏾 It’s Wednesday, so we’re checking in on YOU.

With everything happening in the world right now—including these storms, heavy rains, and flooding—we just want to make sure our Middle Bee family is safe and okay. 💜

How are you doing today? Are you safe? How is your family?

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, and when you’re living with lupus, stress can take an extra toll on your body. So today, we want to encourage you to pause, take a deep breath, and give yourself a few quiet moments to simply BE. 🧘🏾‍♀️✨

We’re sharing a quick meditation video for you to use whenever you need a moment of peace.

Find a comfortable space, close your eyes, breathe deeply, and remind yourself:

“I am here. I am safe. I am worthy of rest. I am taking life one moment at a time.”

And remember… you don’t have to be okay every single day. 💜

Drop a 💜 in the comments to let us know you’re checking in, or tell us how you’re doing. If you’re in an area affected by the storms or flooding, please let us know you’re safe.

We’re checking on our Warriors because you matter to us. 🐝💜

Wellness Day in the park was awesome! I loved being able to connect with people in the community, educate others about lupus, answer questions, and raise awareness about what it truly means to live with lupus. 💜

And of course, I couldn’t leave without sharing some love! 🐝💛 Everyone who stopped by my information table received a Black Girl Vitamins gift bag! 🎁✨ It was such a joy to see the smiles and have meaningful conversations about health, wellness, and taking care of ourselves.

Events like this remind me why The Middle Bee Foundation for Lupus exists—to educate, empower, support, and remind people living with lupus that they are NEVER alone. 🦋

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table, asked questions, grabbed a gift bag, or simply showed love! 💜

“Hey body, this might be hard, but you got this. You are progress. You are enough. When in doubt… shake somethin!” Tag a lupus warrior who needs this reminder. 💜🐝

Living with lupus can make movement feel challenging some days—but staying active in ways that are safe for your body can make a real difference. Activities like Zumba provide low-to-moderate cardiovascular exercise that can help improve endurance, flexibility, balance, mood, and overall well-being. For many people living with lupus, movement can also help reduce stiffness, support joint mobility, and ease stress when done at a comfortable pace.

The most important thing? Listen to your body. Rest when you need to, modify movements when necessary, and always speak with your healthcare provider before starting a new exercise routine—especially during a lupus flare.

Remember, progress doesn’t have to be perfect. Whether you’re dancing for 5 minutes or 50 minutes, every step is a celebration of what your body can do today.

Three years. Three incredible experiences. One amazing instructor. 💜🧘🏾‍♀️

A huge THANK YOU to Nurse Brandie for joining us for the third year in a row to facilitate yoga at our Peace Over Lupus event!

Your calming spirit, compassion, and dedication to helping others find peace through movement and mindfulness have made such a meaningful impact on our lupus community. Thank you for creating a safe space where participants can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with their bodies.

At The Middle Bee Foundation for Lupus, we believe healing comes in many forms, and your continued support helps make that possible.

Thank you for sharing your time, your expertise, and your heart with us year after year. We truly appreciate you and look forward to many more years of partnering together to bring peace, restoration, and wellness to those affected by lupus.

💜 With gratitude,
The Middle Bee Foundation for Lupus

A little behind-the-scenes look at us putting together the gift bags for our PEACE over LUPUS event that happened on July 18th! 💜 Every bag was packed with love, care, and the hope that each participant would feel seen, supported, and appreciated.

A heartfelt thank you to Black Girl Vitamins for their generous donation to The Middle Bee Foundation for Lupus. Your support helped us create a meaningful experience for our lupus community, and we are truly grateful.

It feels incredibly rewarding when other organizations resonate with our mission and choose to invest in the work we’re doing. Together, we’re reminding those living with lupus that they are not alone.

Thank you for believing in our vision and helping us bring a little more ease to the lives of people affected by lupus. 💜🐝
