A class can become a career pathway.

For BIPOC youth ages 3–18 on Chicago’s South and West Sides, arts education builds creative confidence, leadership, and career readiness, not just after-school enrichment.

Through mentorship, Urban Core Drumline, Becoming a Model Leader, and paid teaching roles, students can return as creative professionals.

WHAT STUDENTS LEARN THROUGH DANCE

Dance builds more than technique. In every RTPA class, young people practice discipline, time management, taking direction, collaboration, and belonging. Skills that shape confident teammates and leaders.
