Public Equity, alongside New Life Centers and our CP4P partners, hosted Senator Dick Durbin today to address recent ICE deployments and CVI funding cuts. Our Executive Director, Tony Woods, joined in emphasizing that in times like these, solidarity is vital. Chicago stands united — our frontline CVI staff, peacekeepers, and neighborhoods cannot be left behind.

Grateful to have had Governor Pritzker come through and sit with our frontline peacekeepers. It mattered to have their voices heard, not just talked about, but truly listened to. Real peace starts with investing in the people who risk everything to protect and heal our communities.
