For those of you who have experienced RAD Golf Fest, you know it has always been about something much bigger than golf.
Behind the music, the energy, the laughter, the creativity, and the community is the mission of the Tony Laughlin Memorial Fund.
Our goal is to turn grief into purpose by raising awareness and funding programs centered around grief resources, childhood mental health, and inclusive education through creative expression.
And now, we are preparing to take that mission even further.
Beginning in 2027, RAD Golf Fest will expand beyond Illinois with new events in Colorado and Florida, giving us the opportunity to reach more communities, support more organizations, and impact more children and families across the country.
But growth only matters if the impact grows with it.
When a child loses someone they love, their entire world changes.
There is no instruction manual for grief. There is no timeline. And there should never be a moment when a child or family feels like they have to navigate that pain alone.
We want to help make sure the resources are there when that moment comes.
We want our partners to be able to look a grieving child in the eyes and say:
We see you.
We are here with you.
You do not have to go through this alone.
And we are going to help you through it.
This mission is deeply personal to our family.
We have witnessed what grief can do to the people we love. We have seen the uphill climb. We have watched the journey continue long after everyone else assumes life has returned to normal.
That is why this matters.
That is why the Tony Laughlin Memorial Fund exists.
And that is why we are asking for your help.
Every dollar matters.
Every donation helps us create opportunities, strengthen programs, support our charitable partners, and reach another child or family who may be facing one of the hardest moments of their lives.
Our goal isn’t simply to grow RAD Golf Fest.
Our goal is to grow the impact.
Illinois. Colorado. Florida. And ultimately, wherever this mission can make a difference.
