Back-to-School Event Highlights - What an incredible day at Jones Center!
Our parking lot was filled with children, families, volunteers, community partners, music, games, performances, food, laughter, and so many special memories.
With more than 100 children in our Summer Fun Club Day Camp and their families joining us, our Back-to-School Event was truly a celebration of community.
There was so much happening throughout the day that we will be sharing several posts highlighting the wonderful people, activities, and organizations that helped make this event possible.

A huge thank you to Jones Center Board Member Xochitl Onohan for organizing an amazing Summer Shape Up Event for our kids! ☀️
The children had the opportunity to experience a fun and meaningful day of movement, mindfulness, and wellness, including Group Core with , Sound Bath with , Yoga with , and Pilates with .

A special thank you to New Harvest Pentecostal Assembly for hosting Vacation Bible School at the Jones Center!
One of the children’s favorite activities was spending quiet time in the atrium, where they had the opportunity to meditate, pray, listen to music, and write their own prayers.
It was a beautiful and peaceful experience that gave our kids time to reflect, express themselves, and connect in a meaningful way.

One of the highlights of summer for our Jones Center Summer Fun Club Day Camp kids is Friday field trips!
We are so thankful to DLM Transportation for generously donating a bus to provide transportation for our field trip to the Chicago Heights Park District.
Because of your kindness, our kids were able to enjoy a fun summer adventure with their friends and make special memories together.

This week, the children in Jones Center's Summer Fun Club Day Camp celebrated and honored Juneteenth! ❤️💛💚
They learned about the history and significance of this important day through puzzles, trivia, and a collaborative coloring poster. The celebration continued with a fun field trip to the zoo!
It was a wonderful week of learning, creativity, friendship, and adventure.

ACEMB is partnering with the Chicago White Sox to support a fundraising opportunity for Jones Center. The event will take place on Mexican Heritage Night, July 10, at 6:40 p.m. For each ticket sold, $10 will be donated back to the Jones Center.
