Jones Memorial Community Center

Jones Memorial Community Center Incorporated in 1917, Jones Center has been an integral part of the community for 100 years.

Mission - As a non-denominational, non-sectarian, non-profit organization, Jones Center strengthens family ties, emphasizes the worth of God’s children (all people), and answers a human need. Jones Center traditionally serves a population of youth and family members from area low-income households of both Latino and African-American descent. Located in Chicago Heights, Jones Center is one of just

a few service providers located in the heart of the community that is dedicated to improving the lives and academics of youth. Jones Center addresses the needs of families through Youth Programs, Family Services/Neighborhood Center, Emergency Services, Senior Programs, and Special Outreach Events. Last year, Jones Center had 214 registered students served 11,971 times, provided 17,750+ meals to out-of-school time participants, served 102 kids in its 9 week summer fun club, presented six $1,000 scholarships to seniors from area high schools, and shared 9 monthly fun-filled luncheons with area seniors.

The hunt is on at Jones Center! Our Summer Fun Club Day Camp campers are discovering Hidden Treasures all around them! From scavenger hunts and creative games to searching for prizes and making memories with friends, the summer is already filled with adventure, laughter, and fun.

Jones Center Summer Fun Club Day Camp kicked off yesterday, and it was all smiles!
The children were excited to be back, reconnect with friends, and begin a summer filled with fun, learning, new experiences, and wonderful memories.

🌮🤠 Tacos, Trails & Tall Tales! 🤠🌮 Our Golden Agers had a wonderful time at the Jones Center Senior Luncheon celebrating with a fun Cinco de Mayo and cowboy-themed afternoon!
There was plenty of laughter, good food, raffle prizes, Lotería, bingo, and great company. It was a perfect mix of fiesta fun and cowboy charm!
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We love seeing our seniors come together to enjoy friendship, community, and a whole lot of fun.
