Yesterday Beacon Hill Community Services hosted our Pop up for the People event, providing free hot dogs, hamburgers, deserts, chips and beverages and a little relief to nearly 100 people impacted by power outages across the Southland.

We couldn't have done it without our amazing volunteers and donors: Joshua Williams Sr. , Shelina Bobita Smith and Al Albert Jenkins, Carla Johnson, Crystal Horton, Dr. Muriel Lee, Pastor Rickey Dorsey, and Candice. THANK YOU for answering the call to serve!

Special thanks to Troche and Trebel of T2 Entertainment for donating the music and helping with setup and teardown. You helped turn a difficult time into an afternoon of food, music, fun, fellowship and community.

This is what Beacon Hill Community Services is all about!

❤️ BEACON HILL COMMUNITY SERVICES IS HERE FOR OUR COMMUNITY!❤️

The storms hit hard, and unfortunately, many families throughout the Southland are still without power. Some have been without electricity for days—trying to keep food cold, keep their families comfortable, and simply get through an already difficult situation.

At Beacon Hill Community Services we believe community means showing up for one another when it matters most.💙

So tomorrow, we’re firing up the grills and hosting a FREE POP-UP FOR THE PEOPLE to provide a little relief, a hot meal, cold drinks, and some good old-fashioned community love. 🌭🍔❤️

📅 Saturday, August 15th ⏰ 12 PM – 3 PM
📍 Beacon Hill Community Services Parking Lot
Wilson Center Mall, 403 W. Lincoln Highway, Chicago Heights

🍔 Grilled Hamburgers 🌭 Hot Dogs 🥔 Chips
🥤 Punch & Water
❤️ ALL FREE!

Everyone is welcome. No registration. No questions. Just come by, grab something to eat, cool off, and know that your community cares. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED! Want to help us serve? Call 708-571-3280.

For more than 16 years, Beacon Hill Community Services has believed that serving others isn't just something we do—it's who we are. When our neighbors are hurting, we want to be there. When families need a helping hand, we want to help. And when our community gets knocked down, we come together and lift one another back up.

Please SHARE THIS POST so we can reach families who are still without power.
