Immediate Release: Vice President Kamala Harris to Return to Houston, TX

Houston, TX. July 30, 2024: On Wednesday, July 31, Vice President Kamala Harris will deliver remarks at Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc.’s 60th International Biennial Boule in Houston, TX. It will be her third visit to Texas in the last month.

Vice President Harris will also be in Houston on Thursday to deliver a eulogy at the Homegoing Service for the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.

Last week, the Vice President was in Houston to visit the city’s Emergency Operations Center and receive a briefing on the ongoing recovery efforts following Hurricane Beryl.

She then delivered the keynote speech at the American Federation of Teachers’ 88th national convention on Thursday. Earlier this month, the Vice President was in Dallas to deliver the keynote speech at Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s 71st Boule.

Happy 22nd ! As we wrap up the 2023-2024 Sorority Year we would like to thank you for your commitment to Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated!

We also would like to end on a note. We are asking for alumnae chapters to celebrate all Undergraduate Sorors who are making the commitment to transition to an alumnae chapter for the 2024-2025 Sorority Year.
