Providing nutritious weekend meals to children facing food insecurity, ensuring they don’t go hungry when school meals aren’t available—funded by generous donors and run by dedicated volunteers. Partnering with the community to provide nutritious, non-perishable bags of food every Friday to children during the school year who would otherwise not eat well- or at all- on the weekends.

Our first bag fill of the new school year looked a little different yesterday. Instead of filling bags we came together to thank our current and retiring volunteers. Every week our volunteers show up and we wouldn’t be able to feed our community of children without all of you.

We celebrated with a beautiful charcuterie spread donated by Dr. Schaffer and Laramie County Community College. The table came to life with a wonderful presentation laid out by Jean and Kelly from the LCCC Catering team.

We can’t forget the cookies made and donated by our very own Carla Bankes. Thank you!

Pepsi and Jena Martinez kindly donated bottled water for our celebration. Thank you!

Edward Galavotti and Jim and Holly Fisher, thank you for your long lasting contributions and countless hours of volunteer time given to our cause. We will miss seeing you weekly and are forever grateful for your service to the Friday Food Bag Foundation.

We are back to normal fills and looking forward to seeing everyone next week to get those bags filled! September 1 @ 5:00

🍏Volunteer Spotlight: Jim & Holly Fisher 🍏

For the past 5 years, Jim and Holly Fisher have been showing up week after week to make a difference in the lives of local children and we are so incredibly grateful for them!

After retiring, Jim and Holly wanted to stay busy, stay connected to their community, and find a way to give back. They found that through Friday Food Bag Foundation, and they’ve been giving their time and hearts ever since.

Together, they have helped donate more than 36,000 bags! They deliver, fill, donate, and do whatever is needed to help make sure kids have food to take home.

But what they love most may be watching the little kids who come volunteer alongside us each week. They love helping teach the next generation that giving back matters.

Jim and Holly, thank you for 5 years of faithful service, generosity, and love for our community. Your impact reaches far beyond the bags you help provide. You’re showing all of us what it looks like to give your time, serve others, and make a difference.

We are so lucky to have you both part of our Friday Food Bag family!

It’s almost time to head back to school, and we want to celebrate the amazing people who make Friday Food Bag Foundation possible!

You're invited to join us on Tuesday, August 25th from 5:00–6:00 PM for a special Back-to-School & Volunteer Appreciation Event!

💫VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT: KIRSTEN RIGG & FAMILY 💫

For nine years, Kirsten Rigg and her family have been showing up for the kids of Laramie County and we couldn’t be more grateful!

Kirsten first got involved as a driver, simply looking for an easy way to help. Nine years later, she’s still showing up, volunteering, filling bags, delivering bags and bringing her family along with her.

As Kirsten says, "Volunteering here is simple, you show up, fill the bags and the entire family can help too.” We love that!

What started as a simple way to give back through Element Church, has grown into a lasting commitment to our kids and our organization. Kirsten says one of the things she loves most is how welcoming everyone is.

Kirsten, thank you for 9 years of saying YES, for showing up, for serving, and for helping make sure our kids have what they need. Your time, your heart, and your family’s commitment make a difference more than you know.
