We did!

We’re thrilled to announce that the 2027 Wyoming Aviation Festival and Air Show will take place August 21–22, 2027!

As the dates get closer, we’ll be sharing sneak peeks, exciting updates, and more details about what’s in store.

For now, sit back, relax, and mark your calendars! 📅 We’re already hard at work planning next year’s festival, and we can’t wait to share what we have in the works.

This week, some of our members and friends rolled up their sleeves to restore an airmail arrow in need of a little TLC and a fresh coat of paint!

As an organization, we’re involved in a variety of projects, all driven by our passion for preserving and stewarding Wyoming’s aviation heritage. From educating the public and hosting air shows that showcase Cheyenne’s beautiful 1960s-era terminal to offering historic tower tours and participating in farmers markets and community events, there’s always something happening!

And sometimes, preserving aviation history means getting our hands a little dirty with paint and concrete.

AVIATION TAKES CENTER STAGE IN CHEYENNE! 🇺🇸

A little history, a little horsepower, and a whole lot of aviation!

The skies over Cheyenne came alive during the Wyoming Aviation Festival on Aug. 16, 2026, as vintage military trainers and aerobatic aircraft put on an impressive aerial display at Cheyenne Regional Airport.

On the ground, the Wyoming Air National Guard's 153rd Airlift Wing showcased its C-130 Hercules, giving visitors an up-close look at one of the aircraft that helps support missions around the world.

From historic aircraft to modern military aviation, the festival brought aviation enthusiasts and the community together to celebrate the past and present of flight!

Yesterday, we celebrated the professionals who help keep our skies safe and our aircraft moving. Here in Wyoming, aviation history is all around us including our very own old air traffic control tower!

During this year’s Wyoming Aviation Festival, we had the opportunity to bring community members through the historic tower for a closer look at a piece of our local aviation history.

Many of you know the nearby parking lot as a great spot to catch a glimpse of the unique, unusual, and exciting aircraft that visit our airport. But there’s even more history to discover!

This International Day of the Air Traffic Controller, we’re celebrating the people behind the scenes who make aviation possible and the historic places that keep their stories alive.
