Over 90 nonprofit professionals and board members from across Wyoming came together in Casper September 21–23 to learn, connect, and strengthen their fundraising skills.

Fundraising Fundamentals, presented by the Wyoming Community Foundation and Wyoming Nonprofit Network in partnership with The Fund Raising School at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, provided three days of interactive learning focused on board engagement, annual giving, major gifts, and planned giving.

Participants also had the opportunity to connect with nonprofit peers, share experiences, and build relationships with others working to strengthen communities across Wyoming.

An estimated $24 billion in wealth will transfer from one generation to the next across Wyoming by 2034. Is your nonprofit prepared to be part of the conversation?

Recognizing the impact of nonprofit professionals understanding wealth transfer and being prepared to engage in planned giving, the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable (CPGR), the Wyoming Community Foundation, and the Wyoming Nonprofit Network are excited to host the first CPGR Virtual Wyoming Roundtable.

In August, the Wyoming Nonprofit Network board and staff members gathered in Lander for two days of reflection, collaboration, and planning for the future of WNN and Wyoming’s nonprofit sector.

Together, board and staff took a closer look at where the Wyoming Nonprofit Network is today, where the organization is headed, and how WNN can continue to evolve to meet the needs of nonprofits across the state. Conversations focused on strengthening WNN’s programs and resources, advocacy, partnerships, communications, and organizational capacity, all with the goal of better supporting the people and organizations building strong Wyoming communities.

Time together also created an important opportunity to strengthen connections between board and staff, align around shared priorities, and identify meaningful next steps for the work ahead.

WNN is grateful for the board and staff members who bring their experience, perspectives, and commitment to advancing Wyoming’s nonprofit sector.

Join fellow nonprofit professionals and board members for an in-person discussion on October 8 from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. focused on property taxes and the role property tax revenue plays in Wyoming communities.

Wyoming Taxpayers Association Executive Director Hank Hoversland will discuss what property taxes fund and what changes in property tax revenue can mean for communities and the nonprofit organizations that serve them.

Monthly networking events like this are possible in Natrona County thanks to the support from the Natrona Collective Health Trust and collaboration from partners like the Wyoming Taxpayers Association and ART 321.

Join fellow nonprofit professionals for the next Laramie County Nonprofit Networking Meeting on October 8 from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. hosted by the Wyoming Parent Information Center (WPIC) at the Cheyenne Children's Museum.

Connect with peers over coffee and light breakfast snacks while learning more about WPIC’s work supporting Wyoming families navigating special education.

These monthly gatherings are a great opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and strengthen connections across Laramie County’s nonprofit community.

The Wyoming Nonprofit Network, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, invites established coalitions to a Facilitated Discussion for Established Coalitions focused on strengthening collaborative efforts locally and statewide.

Participants will reflect on what makes an effective coalition, identify successes, and explore opportunities to strengthen their collective voice and impact.

Who should attend? Coalitions that have worked collaboratively for at least one year, established shared priorities and goals, and previously engaged decision-makers on coalition priorities.

Space is limited to seven participants per coalition, with one registration per coalition. Attendance at the Introduction to Advocacy workshop and Elected Officials Panel on October 14 from 9:00 AM – 12:45 PM is encouraged but not required to participate in the facilitated discussion.
