Words can hardly do justice to all that Dolly Parton has done for people across the country, including those who faced significant disadvantages or were too often overlooked. We want to share one more part of her story that people may not know: she was a champion of workers and unions. Rest in Power, Dolly.

Organized labor is celebrating the life and legacy of an artist who championed working women and carried a union card for almost 60 years.

This week, you can continue to find plenty of "back to school" preparation across the state! Chris Jeide, Powell EA president, spoke to educators in that community, energizing them for a new school year. Let's do this!

THANK YOU!!!! Because of your support, primary candidates endorsed by WEA PACE won an astounding 91% of their races, including a 74% success rate among our endorsed Republican candidates in a highly challenging political environment.

We can’t overstate what this means for public education in Wyoming.

These victories give us an opportunity to fundamentally change the conversation in the Wyoming Legislature. Instead of spending every legislative session almost exclusively defending public education from attacks, we now have an opportunity to build relationships with a stronger coalition of lawmakers who are willing to listen to educators and work toward solutions for Wyoming students and public schools. And for the first time in many years, we will likely have (following the general election) a Superintendent of Public Instruction who is a lifelong educator that actually supports us.

So we want to share our appreciation with everyone who had a role in these victories. WEA members showed up. Our leaders showed up. Our staff showed up. Our coalition partners invested boldly. Voters across Wyoming showed up. And together, we changed the political landscape of our state.

We did it!

PS – If you’re an education professional who’s not yet a member of WEA, now is the perfect time to join a winning team. Check the “Join Now” link in our bio.

It's Election Day!

The primary election is here, and we want to remind you to GO VOTE! We're facing a crucial time in Wyoming politics, especially as it relates to public education - so, if you haven't already done so, be sure to cast your ballot today. If you have any questions about how or where to vote, reach out to your County Clerk.

Protect public schools in our state. Fight for students and education professionals. Safeguard the future of our communities.

The WEA Political Action Committee for Education (WEA PACE) is proud to endorse the following candidates for the primary election. These candidates have proven - either through their voting record as incumbents or though their expressed views during a comprehensive vetting process for new candidates - that they will prioritize and protect Wyoming's public schools and vote for what's best for students and education professionals.

Please note that - though not all candidates seek WEA PACE endorsement or reach all requirements for eligibility - some are still considered to be pro-public education, though not formally endorsed.

*** CANDIDATE SPOTLIGHT ***

Susan Bigelow has received the WEA Political Action Committee for Education (PACE) endorsement for House District 51!

"I know firsthand that a thriving public education system is not a political issue; it is a community obligation and the ultimate engine for our workforce and economy.
