Kevin was one of the owners of the Gill Window Company and a big supporter of local sports and businesses. Kevin believed that supporting the local community was a responsibility he owed for the support they had showed to the business and to make our community stronger; with this in mind we keep donations limited to local area charities. We started the KGill Foundation in 2010 in honor of our fami
ly/friend Kevin Gill who was taken away from us way too early in life. Kevin was known to be very generous and it is said that when you met Kevin for the first time that after 5 minutes you felt like you had known him for years. So we thought what a better way to celebrate his life than to play his favorite sport and raise money for good causes. What we have currently raised:
First year: $1,000 at LCCC and donated $7,000 to Summit County Search and Rescue
Second year: $17,500 to a local family to help them with medical expense's incurred when their son broke his neck in High School Wrestling. Third year: $100,000 commitment to the Boy's and Girl's Club, which was paid $20,000 per year. The commitment was completed in 2016. We have also made donations to the Boys Scouts of $2,700 and $1,000 to the local Military Order of the Purple Heart Fund. This brought our total of donations to over $130,000!!!!!!! A big thanks to all the volunteers that give their time every year to make this tournament a success!! We look forward to this year's tournament and years to come.
