4-H is a youth organization for kids age 5-18. 4-H has over 50 different project areas ranging from robotics and rocketry to visual arts to companion animals to livestock. You do not have to own an animal or live on a farm to be in 4-H. 4-H members are involved in 4-H clubs where they learn leadership skills, participate in community service activities, and meet other youth with similar interests.

There are 4-H clubs in all of the communities in Laramie County and in every county in the state of Wyoming. For enrollment information check out our website at:

Cloverbuds are ages 5-7 with a focus on collaboration and exploration. If you would like your child to join Cloverbuds and participate in the monthly meetings, Showcase Showdown events, and more, make sure you register your child with 4-H via ZSuite!

Participants wanting to compete in Gold Rush must register if they have not already. Click the link below to be directed to ZSuite. Registration will close on May 23rd at 11:55pm. The event is open to the public. Family and friends are welcome to watch the competition.

🚨 Reminder for Sheep, Goat & Swine Exhibitors 🚨

The first TAGGING will take place next week:
🗓️ May 27
⏰ 4 - 6pm

If you plan to show market lambs, goats, or swine at the Laramie County Fair, your animals MUST attend one official tagging event to be eligible to show.

Important Reminders:
• All market animals must be tagged at an official event (even with an 840 tag)
• Scrapies tags MUST be in place for lambs and goats prior to tagging
• Animals must be in the youth exhibitor’s name
• Bring all brand inspections and ownership papers
• Breeding animals do NOT need to be tagged

Animals not tagged at an official event will NOT be allowed to show.

Volunteers needed for Gold Rush! We're looking for volunteers for the Gold Rush competition on May 30th! Competition is from 9am-3pm, but volunteers would only need to be present during their event.

We're looking for:
▪ A moderator for Dog Skill-a-thon
▪ A moderator for Hippology
▪ A moderator for Horse Quiz Bowl
▪ A timer for Horse Quiz Bowl
▪ A time for Livestock Quiz Bowl

A friendly reminder about the rabbit project workshop that will be happening on Thursday, May 21st at 6:30 pm at the Archer Community House. Hanna Duzik will talk about her breeds of rabbits including Mini Lops, Czech Frosty, and Polish. Other discussions will be on the different body types associated with the different breed of rabbits and showmanship. Please bring a carpet square, 1 rabbit per child, and wear something with long sleeves. We hope to see you there!
