My heartfelt gratitude goes to the Filipino-American Community of Southern Colorado for this meaningful honor and for recognizing my efforts to support our community. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside so many passionate and dedicated individuals who continue to make a difference.
Philanthropy is not about how much we give, but about how much love, compassion, and hope we can share with others. I will continue to support our community, promote our Filipino heritage, and help build a stronger and more united Filipino-American community.
It is with great pride and heartfelt appreciation that I recognize the Filipino American Community of Southern Colorado (FACSC) for its significant accomplishments, outstanding leadership, and continuing contributions to the Filipino-American community—not only in the Pikes Peak Region and Colorado, but on a national level as well.
Through the years, FACSC has demonstrated that our Filipino-American community can preserve its rich heritage while embracing leadership, education, service, and opportunities that empower future generations.
I commend FACSC for continuing its tradition of celebrating the beauty, grace, talent, and accomplishments of Filipino-American women through the Mrs. Fil-Am Contest. More importantly, I am proud that the proceeds from this event support the organization’s scholarship program, helping provide opportunities and invest in the education and future of our young people.
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Joey & Aurora Bautista and Mati & Ruby Ioapo, recipients of the Hall of Fame Award, and to ABC Janitorial Services, LLC, recipient of the Fil-Am Organizational Award. Your dedication, service, and contributions exemplify the excellence and generosity that strengthen our community.
Congratulations as well to Nora Elefante, Genesis Africa, and Yolanda Viloria for their tremendous efforts in staging this successful and meaningful event. Your commitment and hard work have helped bring our community together in celebration, recognition, and fellowship.
FACSC has also become an incubator for Filipino-American leaders in Colorado and across the nation. As a proud member of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA), Region 5, FACSC has demonstrated its leadership beyond the local community. The organization recently played an important role in hosting the highly successful National Empowerment Conference, showcasing the strength, unity, hospitality, and accomplishments of Filipino-Americans in Colorado.
It is especially inspiring to recognize Ms. Maddie Vines, current FACSC President, who serves on the NaFFAA National Board of Trustees. Her leadership reflects the growing influence of FACSC and its commitment to advancing Filipino-American representation and leadership at the national level.
We also proudly recognize former FACSC President Dr. Alexander Africa, who was elected National President of NaFFAA. His achievement is a remarkable testament to the leadership foundation cultivated within FACSC and demonstrates how local community service can grow into national leadership and impact.
The accomplishments of FACSC are truly something to celebrate. Your organization has shown that when people come together with a shared commitment to community, culture, education, leadership, and service, we can create lasting opportunities and inspire generations to come.
It is difficult to adequately express the respect and admiration I have for all that FACSC has accomplished and for the many individuals who continue to give their time, talents, and hearts to the Filipino-American community.
May FACSC continue to be a beacon of Filipino pride, leadership, unity, and service, inspiring our community here in Colorado and throughout the nation.
Congratulations to FACSC, its leaders, honorees, organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and the entire Filipino-American community.
Mabuhay ang FACSC!
Mabuhay ang NaFFAA!
Mabuhay ang Filipino-American Community!
