Bennett Rea is the host and creator of Cookin' with Congress, the viral social media series with over 800,000 followers and 350 million views where he recreates unhinged recipes from politicians, eats like presidents, and connects to everyday people through the insanity of American food. The series has been featured on NPR, CBS Sunday Morning, NBC, Eater, The Los Angeles Times and more, blending history, comedy, cooking, education, joyous disgust and a true love for everyday folks while roasting (sometimes literally) the foods of powerful politicians. His writing has been featured in Food & Wine, Business Insider, Atlas Obscura and Cracked, and he trained in improv at UCB Los Angeles and iO West. Dolly Parton was truly an American icon. She was an acclaimed singer, actress, and humanitarian whose incredible talent and generosity made her one of a kind.

In 1978, Cheyenne Frontier Days™ was honored to welcome Dolly to the stage during the “Daddy of ’Em All.” Her historic appearance came as she was reaching new heights in her career with “Here You Come Again,” which earned her a Grammy and helped solidify her crossover appeal.

With her high-energy performance, signature western style, and unmistakable star power, Dolly brought together country music fans and pop culture enthusiasts for a legendary night show concert, one that remains a memorable moment in CFD history.

We’re proud to remember the night this American icon took the stage in Cheyenne.
