🇺🇸 Wyoming showed up in a big way! 🦬

Remember us introducing you to our fabulous PACT Representative, Sam Webb? 🫁 Well, yesterday he was BUSY!

Sam spent the day meeting with fellow PACT Representatives from across the country, AARC members and leadership—including president-elect Joel Brown, who was gifted one of our WySRC pins and proudly wore it throughout the day! He also met with Cynthia Lummis, Harriet Hageman, and John Barrasso while participating in advocacy and educational sessions on behalf of respiratory therapists.

Sam is out there making connections, building relationships, and doing the important work to ensure respiratory therapy is seen, heard, and recognized for the vital role we play in patient care.

We are incredibly proud to have Sam representing Wyoming and WySRC on the national stage. Thank you for advocating for our profession and helping move respiratory care forward! 💙💨 🩺

🇺🇸 Wyoming is in the house! 🇺🇸

Our very own Sam Webb is on Capitol Hill representing Wyoming at the American Association for Respiratory Care Respiratory Care Fly-In!

Sam is meeting with John Barrasso and Harriet Hageman (and more!) to advocate for the SOAR Act and continued advancement of the respiratory therapy profession. These conversations help ensure respiratory therapists have a voice in shaping healthcare policy and improving patient care across the country.

As Wyoming’s first-ever PACT Representative, Sam is blazing a trail and making all of us back here in the 307 incredibly proud. Thank you for representing Wyoming respiratory therapists and students on the national stage!

The AARC Research Committee is conducting a national survey to better understand current research and quality improvement activities within respiratory care departments. The findings will help identify available infrastructure and resources, recognize common barriers, and guide future clinical research priorities in respiratory care.

Please note: We request that only one representative from each clinical RT department complete the survey (e.g., director, manager, clinical educator, or similar leadership role).

We would greatly appreciate your assistance in sharing this survey with respiratory therapy department leaders across professional networks.

Thank you very much for your support and participation.

Ending the day strong with Dr. Nathaniel Moore 🔥

Breaking down respiratory emergencies in the ER and highlighting the key differences in intubations across the ER, OR, and ICU—this session emphasized how RTs can optimize support and elevate patient care in every setting.

Talk about setting CC and LCCC students up for success as they head into real-world practice 👏

A fun and engaging session from D’Andra Martinez and Sadi Adamson on smoking cessation and the powerful role respiratory therapists play in patient education 💨
