What sets BDAR apart is our unique vision for Wyoming:

We’re the only rescue dedicated exclusively to helping Wyoming’s homeless pets and Wyoming’s pet owners. PACK Program: A partnership with the Wyoming Medium Correctional Institution that pairs shelter dogs with inmate handlers for 9 weeks. This program teaches dogs basic obedience and provides both the dog and the inmate with the opportunity

for shared redemption and rehabilitation. Foster care: A program designed to increase the capacity of the adoption program by placing animals in temporary care in the homes of willing volunteers. High-volume adoptions: A program designed to place as many homeless pets in dedicated permanent homes as quickly as possible, thereby freeing up physical, financial, and human resources necessary to care for new incoming animals, or those requiring more extensive therapies prior to adoption. Low-cost microchips: Affording people the ability to have their pet permanently identified in the event they become missing and need to be reunited with their owner. Pet food pantry: Assisting members of the community with free dog and cat food and other supplies during times of financial hardship. Positive Alternatives to Shelter Surrender (PASS) program: Re-homing assistance for dogs who need not ever enter a shelter.

Bangers is an independent gal who prefers to take life at her own pace. She's still building confidence with people and would likely thrive as a barn cat or in another home where she can enjoy her space while having a safe place to call her own.

Because Bangers can be selective about handling and affection, she'll do best in an adult-only home with someone who understands and appreciates cats with independent personalities.

This rough and tough outlaw is learning the ropes. He is a bit scared still and ain't afraid to show it. We have been consistently showing him people are not scary and he's really starting to trust us.

It is a work in progress, and any new home will need to be committed to helping him towards the goal of being a friendly house cat.

This playful little girl is ready to charm her way into your heart! Harmony was found trying to make a home for herself in an apartment building, and now she’s looking for a family of her own.

Harmony loves attention and will reach her little paws through the bars of her condo just to get you to notice her! 😻 She’s a big fan of treats, ear rubs, playtime, and curling up on a soft bed.

She doesn’t always love being held, but she absolutely loves being loved on in her own way. Give her some toys, treats, and affection, and you’ll have a very happy kitten!

Quincy and Cosmo are in need of fosters! They both graduated from PACK with the skills you see here! We really need two homes to step up and become a foster for at least a week while we search for more placements.

Quincy is great with dogs, no cats. Needs a six foot fence.

Cosmo is great with dogs, likely scared of cats, and is very submissive.
