A Chewelah Flyers Christmas party! 🎄

Last night our club members and their families gathered for a Christmas/holiday get together, where we watched the Seahawks vs Rams game, ate delicious snacks, and enjoyed each other’s company. One of the things we love about our club is the sense of community, and the friendships we’ve formed.

Well the winter weather has officially set in.🥶 We folks here at Chewelah Flyers are looking forward to those crystal clear, snowy days, but unfortunately those aren’t extremely common. In the meantime, we are remembering flights like this. A sunset flight to KDEW to land on their grass strip. For those who are local, did you know KDEW has a grass runway? It parallels runway 23 - 5.

Another adventure with N912YA! One of our members took her to Magee (S77) airstrip for an overnight camping trip with his son. Great memories for both of them for years to come.

One of the great advantages of Chewelah Flyers is that our members are allowed to take the plane for up to a week, or longer if the other members approve. And we charge by tach time, not by the hobbs meter or hourly. This makes it a much cheaper option in general, but especially when you want to make memories like these.
