Tenleytown Main Street Working with residents & businesses to strengthen the commercial district at the heart of Tenleytown

Established in 2015 by members of the Tenleytown community, Tenleytown Main Street seeks to revitalize the Tenleytown business corridor by leveraging its history to attract new businesses, create a stronger retail presence, and make Tenleytown a more desirable place to work and play. Tenleytown Main Street is funded in part by the Department of Small and Local Business Development and is an officially recognized DC Main Streets Program.

St. Ann's Church presents a Dmitri Yudin, Pianist performance of Beethoven, Schulhoff, Schumann, Bolcom, and Liszt this Sunday, October 4th at 3pm. This event is free to attend and is the premiere of St. Ann's concert series season! Let's give Dmitri Yudin a big this Sunday!

More about Dmitri Yudin:

Dmitry Yudin (b. May 16, 2001, Moscow) is a Russian-born pianist whose artistry combines intellectual depth with compelling virtuosity. He began his musical training at the Moscow Gnessins School of Music at the age of just five, studying with Professor Lydia Grigoryeva from 2008 to 2019, before relocating to the United States to further his education and career.

Yudin has worked with leading artists including Evgeni Koroliov, Boris Berezovsky, Richard Goode, Steven Kovacevich, Jerome Rose and Mikhail Voskresensky. He is currently studying with Stanislav loudenitch at Park University in Kansas City.

Looking for an awesome concert to attend next Wednesday? Join us for Contour and Resonance at American University's Katzen Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, September 30, at 7pm.

This 45-minute sound event is framed by Alvin Lucier's iconic work, I am Sitting in a Room. By generating acoustic resonance via recursive recording and playback, the sonic features inherent to the architecture of the American University Museum space will be revealed and developed into an immersive, ambient sound environment. As this process unfolds, a program of experimental works by post-Cagean composers James Tenney (selections from Postal Pieces), Pauline Oliveros (New Sound Meditation), and Alvin Lucier (Music for Cello and Amplified Vases) will be performed, along with additional improvised material.

Contour and Resonance is supported by an in-process film project by Sue Schroeder & Adam Larsen. Sue Schroeder (filmmaker), Nancy Jo Snider (’cello), Noah Getz (saxophone), and William Brent (computer musician) will host a brief Q&A following the program.

The event is FREE and there is parking in the garage below the Katzen Center.
