Who We Are
Hi everyone!
My name is Daniel Lewis and I was born and raised in Chevy Chase DC. I grew up on Child’s Play RC cars, Avalon movies, and Comet pizza but could never have imagined that I'd return from college to a city completely paralyzed. But it's clear, that in these times of unprecedented community hardship we need collective community action; it is our job to support our neighborhood, our city, and the local businesses and people that give it life.
That’s why we created Chevy Chase for DC. CC4DC will highlight opportunities throughout Chevy Chase and in DC writ-large where members of our community can help those businesses and individuals in need during this crisis.
For our first effort, we will be fundraising for TwentyTables, an organization that hires DC-based food trucks to supply meals for health workers on the front lines; for every $700 raised, TwentyTables will cover 100 locally-sourced meals, feeding the front lines and keeping local businesses running.
