On June 14—Flag Day—Donald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington. It rises up everywhere else.

We are 6 days away from election day and the stakes could not be higher. Maryland has not seen a race this close since Michael Steele and Ben Cardin since 2006. Ben Cardin secured a better future for all Marylander then, and now Angela is running on the same platform. We have to go further together! In order to do this, we have to talk to voters to get them out to vote for Angela Alsobrooks!

A few short weeks remain until the most momentous election of our lifetime. In addition to electing Kamala Harris as our next President, we need to make sure the Senate is in Democratic hands. That means Angela Alsobrooks must win her Senate race.

Progressive Cheverly and the Maryland Democratic Coordinated Campaign have planned three more door knocking opportunities and we hope you can join us:
Saturday, October 5 and 19
Saturday, November 2.

On October 5th we will finish up canvassing in Cheverly, and depending how many people show up we will ask some groups to canvass in Hyattsville. On October 19th and November 2nd, we will be in Hyattsville.

Let’s keep the Democrats in control of the Senate. Let’s work to elect Angela Alsobrooks.

Join Progressive Cheverly and the Maryland Democratic Coordinated Campaign on Saturday, September 14 at 9:30 am to canvass in Cheverly for Angela Alsobrooks. Coffee and donuts will be provided.

Dear Progressive Cheverly members and friends,

The November election is a little over 4 months away. The outcome will have major consequences for our nation and our state. Nothing that happened at the Presidential debate changes that. Despite the massive amounts of money being spent on TV and other media spending, direct voter contact is still the most effective way to engage voters.

Progressive Cheverly is supporting Angela Alsobrooks for U.S. Senate as we work hard to protect the very slim Democratic majority in the Senate. The Alsobrooks campaign is part of the coordinated Democratic campaign for Maryland. We need your help. Read on for details about actions in Cheverly and beyond. There are many ways to contribute. If you can help with any of these activities, please contact us at [email protected].
• Distribute campaign literature door-to-door in Cheverly after July 4th.
• Knock on doors in Cheverly and talk with voters about the election starting this summer.
• Do phone banking or text banking starting this summer.
• Support voter registration efforts.
• Write postcards to battleground states either on your own or with a wonderful group of postcarders hard at work here in Cheverly.
• Canvas door to door in battleground states like Pennsylvania.
• Phone bank or text bank to battleground states like Arizona.
