Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Scholarship Foundation

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Scholarship Foundation Welcome to the website for the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Scholarship Foundation. The CWSF is a 100% non profit organization made up of volunteers. How can I help?

Thank you for taking the first most important step of helping the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Scholarship Foundation (CWSF), finding out about us and our mission. Our goal is to foster and develop funds to be awarded to Chetek - Weyerhaeuser High School graduating seniors to aid them in their secondary educational plans. You ask who is the CWSF? We are a 12 member board of directors with officers of Presi

dent, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. Our Board of Directors (BOD) consists of community members from a variety of age groups and walks of life with an abundance of enthusiasm for the success of the CWSF. More importantly the CWSF is every community member or person anywhere in the world that has an interest in any way, shape or form of helping CWHS grads with their secondary educational goals. What does the CWSF do? The CWSF takes in donations, holds fund raising events and manages assets so as to have monies to award in the form of scholarships to CWHS's graduating seniors. This is all done in a completely non-discriminatory way according to strict standards that are defined in our by-laws as displayed in the by-laws section of our website. You can help us by staying informed. Check out this website. Read our Bios. Read our by-laws. Read about the people who we have helped. Definitely check out the section about our upcoming fund raising events! Volunteer to help out at a fund raising event! Most importantly if you can help us financially or you know someone who can or would like to, please get in touch with our organization and we can go over the many options there are for gifting to the CWSF and leaving your legacy at CWHS. Contact Us: If you have any questions, please email us at [email protected] or call our President, Tim Knutson at 715-237-2477. Any correspondence can be sent to CWSF, P.O. Thank you CW Staff!!!

The Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Area School District Staff has donated $25,528.65 to the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Scholarship Foundation (CWSF). This is money raised primarily during the 28 years of the staff sponsored variety show.

“The idea of the Variety Show was formed in the mid-1990's to provide our talented students and staff a stage on which to shine while raising funds for our graduates to further their education beyond our walls,” explained Variety Show Director and CW Staff Member Dolly Neby. “With hard work by many individuals this event has grown into an anticipated yearly event. We find it thrilling to be a part of this uplifting atmosphere for our school and our community. We hope it continues for another quarter century!

The CW Staff will continue to sponsor approximately $4,000 per year in student scholarships through future variety show proceeds as well as make continual donations to CWSF.

“The goal of the money raised has always been to provide scholarships to current students and to build a fund that will grow to give more scholarships in the future,” stated CW staff representative Bill Munch. “We are proud as a staff to donate this money to the CWSF as we know it will be invested and grow. I know I speak for former and current staff when I say we are proud of the legacy that we and others before us created.”

Pictured in the photo are Dolly Neby, John Loy, and Bill Munch who have all been involved in the Variety Show since its inception, Janis Volker and Diane Huiras who serve on both the variety show committee as well as CWSF, and Dawn Knutson and John Flor of CWSF.
