PLEASE READ! Last week we fed 405 families. We are extremely proud of our volunteers who work so hard 3 days a week to accomplish the distributions. HOWEVER, we had over 100 families come to the distribution on the wrong week. We are on an alphabet system of A-L on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. M-Z are to come on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. This is in place for a reason. Every time there is a 5th Thursday we are closed that week. You cannot come that first week because you missed a week. Every family can receive food twice per month. We are set up to only handle 300 families per week. When clients don't follow the schedule it burdens our work load tremendously and we have to cut back on food for the families who are there on the correct week. Also when the traffic backs up on the main road we are forced to hire police to patrol this. Our goal is to feed those families in need with joy and compassion. This is why we do this ministry. It's not fair to volunteers to have to have uncomfortable conversations with clients because they don't follow the rules. It is imperative that clients only come on the weeks they are scheduled. We never want to be in a situation where we send someone away without food, but if clients can't adhere to the rules we are forced to do so. Please everyone pay attention to your calendars and come only on the week we have asked you to.

We are in need of a volunteer that isn’t afraid to brave the cold ! Help in the walk-in cooler and freezer moving product for us to pack the boxes on Thursdays ! The hours are from 2 pm to 6 pm each Thursday ! Please send a message if you are able to help !! Thank you !

Shout out to Bayer Corporation- Indianola Operations for their continued support in donating our boxes needed to complete our distributions each week. Their generosity of 1,200 boxes each week allows us to spend the donations on more food for the families we serve!
