Happy Sunday and an early Memorial Day everyone! Just to recap that Clotz’s Battalion of the Flying had a phenomenal victory at Chestertown Tea Party Festival yesterday with an overall 0 casualties and pushed the Lobster-Backs to the water.

Three new members to the team this year and always looking to add more!

Looking forward to the rest of the Rev War season and where Coach Washington plans to take us next!

Saturday May 23rd the unit of Clotz’s Battalion returns to Chestertown Maryland for a fun day of parade, historical displays, and even a street battle! This is always a fun one for us and we look forward participating

Portraying history and keeping it entertaining is our specialty!

Saturday May 2nd I’ll be at Cornwall Iron Furnace representing men from Clotz’s Battalion of the Flying camp - a company of men picked by Mathias Slough of Lancaster City to support the war effort in New York in late 1776.

Other amazing historical interpretations and folks will be at Cornwall as well so be sure to come for a full day of entertainment and education!

May 2nd will have a detachment of unit members and friends at Cornwall Iron Furnace for their Spring Open House event. Cornwall Furnace has a deep connection to the American Revolutionary War that you’ll have to come by and learn for yourself! Both an amazing opportunity for history enthusiasts and families!

This is also a site also has connections to the Flying Camp - so it’s also special for us!

Clotz's Battalion of the Flying Camp is full with gifted individuals who, in a sense, inhabit the eighteenth century rather than merely discussing it!

We work to promote the traditional trades and seek for authenticity in everything from the food on our tables to the clothes on our backs and the shoes we wear!

It was a cold weekend, but Clotz’s Battalion of the Flying Camp and our friends The 3rd New Jersey Grays still find time to unwind in a 18th century manner!

Warm fires, good food, hot coffee, songs to sing, games to play, great companionship, and an adventurous way to experience a freezing weekend in central Pennsylvania!
