WCVA is proud to announce it's philanthropy, The Nick Spry Memorial Fund. The Nick Spry Memorial Fund was founded on February 14, 2004, the day Nick died while serving wi

th the US Army. This fund gathers donations by hosting events and selling memorabilia. The following are a few of the projects this fund has been able to assist with:
- Prepaid calling cards to deploying soldiers
- Additional equipment for soldiers overseas
- Food and lodging for a family staying with their son while he recovered from severe injuries sustained overseas
- Airfare for soldiers visiting family before deployment and on leave
- Mortgage payment to Marine to prevent home from going into foreclosure
- Various donations to Talbot Mental Health for transportation of soldiers to VA facilities

The Nick Spry Memorial Fund continually accepts donations to ensure its stability and would greatly appreciate your support. Donations can be sent to:

A stunning photo captured by my friend Lance Kuhn. Capturing jets at high speed is never easy. Being off by a thousandth of a second, having too bright a sky behind the subject or failing to adequately capture the detail can all lead to a less than optimal outcome. In my opinion Lance nailed this shot and it’s as darn near as perfect as it gets!
