thank you for being such a good neighbor
Friends, we’re going to get through this.
It’s hard. It sucks. And honestly, it’s a little scary. But right now, more than ever, look for the helpers. Don’t give your energy to negativity or hate.
NIPSCO crews are working around the clock. This is one of the largest storm-related outages our community has faced, and while we know how incredibly difficult it is to be patient, please remember there are people out there working nonstop to get us back up and running. If you see them, thank them.
Unfortunately, Running Vines is still without power and we remain CLOSED.
Nicki and crew are at the winery this morning disposing of all of our food and completely cleaning and sanitizing our refrigerators and freezers so we are ready to receive fresh deliveries as soon as power is safely restored. Until that happens, we simply cannot reopen.
We’ll also be dropping off more items to 219 Taproom, who has been grilling and feeding our community. ❤️
A HUGE shoutout to Town of Chesterton Police Department and Chesterton Fire Department, who have been out around the clock clearing debris, responding to emergencies and helping wherever they can. And to our county and state police who have added additional presence and assistance throughout the area! We see you, and we appreciate you.
Once power is restored, we’ll work as quickly and safely as possible to restock and reopen.
In the meantime: help your neighbors. Check on each other. Look for the helpers and if you’re able, be one.
If anyone needs water or a restroom, we will be onsite at Running Vines until approximately noon today. Please feel free to stop by.
Take care of each other, friends. We’re going to get through this. ❤️
