National Garden Week 2026 is June 6 – June 13 and garden clubs across the USA will be celebrating their successes, showcasing the hard work they do, and promoting the benefits of gardening.
The Duneland Garden Club has events planned for this week. Walking around downtown Chesterton, notice the colorful “National Garden Week” signs in the street planters. These planters, along with the hanging baskets, were planted by The Duneland Garden Club.
On Wednesday, June 9, members will be at the Coffee Creek Farmers Market promoting the club and raffling off an herb container garden. Stop by and fill out an entry form and talk with members about membership in The Duneland Garden Club, or ask us questions about issues you have in your own gardens.
Thursday’s event is twofold, a service project and a social.
Members will be arranging flower vases and packing home baked cookie boxes for Westchester Meals recipients. After the work is completed, the group will enjoy lunch and have time to socialize and get to know newer members.
