Justice Miner Returns to Chesterland — This Thursday!
Join us this Thursday, May 14, at 7 PM at the Old Town Hall in the Chesterland Historical Village, located at the corner of Caves and Mayfield Roads.
As our nation prepares for America 250 and Chesterland celebrates its 225th anniversary, it's the perfect moment to revisit the life of the man who connects our local story to the nation’s founding era: Justice Miner, Revolutionary War veteran and Chesterland’s founding settler.
Justice Miner is portrayed by Ben “B.J.” Kresnye, whose first‑person interpretation brings Miner’s humor and steady resolve vividly to life.
Joining him will be Diana Kresnye, the researcher whose work helped reconstruct Miner’s voice for this anniversary year. She’ll share how she uncovered the “shorthand” hidden in early accounts and pieced together the narrative that allows Justice Miner to speak to us today.
Together, they’ll explore how Chesterland’s earliest chapter fits into the broader American story — reminding us that national history is built from the lives and legacies of local pioneers.
This event is FREE & open to the public. We hope you’ll join us for an engaging and memorable evening celebrating Chesterland’s roots.
