We are proud to recognize Chris Goldman as the Exceptional Service Award recipient at the UH Winter Soirée, presented by Linda Aber, Find Your Neighbor with Aber & Thu Phi, GFS Home Loans.
Chris’s journey to the University of Houston is one defined by resilience, growth, and purpose. Beginning college in 2005, his path included career changes, promotions, and unexpected challenges- including a pivotal moment in 2021 that inspired him to return and complete his degree. With the encouragement of his fiancé, a Life Member and proud Cougar, choosing UH became an easy and meaningful decision.
While balancing full-time work as a branch manager for a credit union, Chris remained deeply engaged with the Young Alumni community, actively volunteering and supporting UHYA initiatives. From events like Cougar Crawl to continued service opportunities, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to giving back and strengthening the Cougar community. As a future graduate, Chris was warmly embraced by the Young Alumni Network—an experience that led to meaningful personal and professional connections.
Receiving the Exceptional Service Award is both humbling and meaningful to Chris. A strong believer in the mission of the Alumni Association, he values the importance of giving back to the University of Houston and its students and looks forward to continuing to support the Young Alumni community and its mission. 🤘🐾
